Well... I don't know who's going, but I do know who's not.... The falcons. Simply because Mike Vick sucks. I believe that if Matt Shaub(SP?) was playing. We would be winning.

    Thats just my opinion.

The Chicago Bears are going, so now Vick is the achilles heel of the Falcons eh? A year or two ago he was the savior... interesting.

That's how it goes, Tony. People jump on board when there's smooth sailing, but as soon as the ship starts to sag a little, off to the diving board they go. Later, QD.

It's called being a fair weather fan... or band wagon fans. I guarantee you 2 years ago mp5o boy was a Vick fanboy.... but now that we've lost a few games it's the end of the world for the Falcons....

Anyways, IMO, it'll either be the bears or Falcons... I dont see the Seahawks streak lasting.... then again, if the Bears defense starts to shut down, they will be a sitting duck cause they have NO offense what so ever...

Hmm... Thats odd? I thought being on Mike Vicks COCK is the "band wagon"??

Vick has not played consistently enough to earn that huge contract that he got, in my opinion. With Vick, you don't know what your gonna get from him week to week.

Actually. I've been a steady Falcons fan for some time now. Not a *Mike Vick* Fan. And no, it's not the end of the world for the Falcons....

As a matter of fact which jersey did everyone buy last year and year before that? #7? Well I'm steady rockin #28 here. #7 is nowhere to be seen in my closet. Dunn should be the leader of the Team. He brings his A game every week. Not just when he feels like it.

Ever met Vick in real life? Dealt w/him personally? Well guess what.... He's an ass. But, thats just iceing on the cake.

Actually.. I've got a #12 jersey in my closet lol. But I wasn't referring to the bandwagon as "vick fans" I'm talking about people who win the team is winning, there all like "Go Falcons!" "Vicks the man" then when we lose a few games, everyone is like "Kill Rich McKay! and Trade Vick!" lol.. you may not be doing this, but seems like the majority of Falcons "fans" are doing that... check out atlantafalcons.com message board, I have half the board on ignore lmao.

The thing is, even when we're winning... Im yelling "Trade Vick!" or something similar . Oh and I've put money on almost every falcons game this year... So don't get me wrong. I believe in them and cheer for them every week.

What makes you want to trade him so bad tho? I mean, ya he has the flaw of not being consistent from week to week, but you can't deny that he's one of the best QB's Atlanta has EVER had.... I can't believe you think we'd be better off with our backup QB in there. I mean ya, he doesn't fit the typical QB mold but 99% of the time he finds ways to make it work.

-A good player, is a consistent player. If you can't bring your A game on a weekly basis. You don't need to play.
    -Vick is injury prone.
-Vick loves to fumble. Im pretty sure he has more fumbles than the whole team combined. (Yes I realize he touches the ball every play, BUT there is no excuse.)
-Vick makes our recievers look alot worse than they really are. Some of them could be stars on other teams with a better QB. In short, he is inaccurate when not lined up directly w/ the reciever.
-Vick hesitates... Almost like he has been second guessing himself lately. Maybe he should get off his 360 and practice.

And the backup... He fits RIGHT into the Falcons style of play... The whole West coast offense is second nature to him..... He came in for one game and threw for just shy of 300yds a few tds and no INTs... Most likely better than Vick has done his whole career(In one game). And have you not seen the previous preseasons?? Shaub has been LIGHTING IT UP. The Falcons recievers look GREAT when he plays.

Last year the Falcons THRIVED on a heavy offensive running game and a strong run defense. This year.... They're not producing like they could. The defense is continuing to play like ass. And Vick has been acting like he doesnt know what to do with the ball. Now I know the injuries they have contribute... But once again... There is NO EXCUSE.

Well, I'm done ranting for now. In short. Vick =

We seem to forget though that Vick affects the game in OTHER ways as well that Schaub simply cannot. When have you ever known the Georgia dome to be considered a big distraction for other teams coming in here? Even the last time we went to the superbowl attendance did not pick up until 6 or 7 games into the season when people finally realized we had a decent team.

And you cannot tell me that Vick does not inspire other players on the team to give their best. It seems like after one or two good runs it begins a snowball effect and you see a totally different team out there. A REAL good example of this is the season he got injured, I believe the team was about 1-7 without vick and when he comes back they win 4 games before the end of the season including Carolina who ended up going to the superbowl that year, my stats may be off but my point is Vick makes a huge difference on this team.

Personally I believe the man is going through a transition right now, I think he is realizing that he cannot be a running quarterback his entire career and at some point he has to work on staying in the pocket and throwing the ball. It may not be helping us right now but in the long run it is all for the better.

And my last point... defense. It doesnt matter what Vick does if the other team is consistently scoring on us. Samcon Gado has a career game and he was on the damn practice squad! What the hell is that!!? Every running back knows they can have their way with the falcons defense right now.. THAT is the achilles heel of the falcons this season. What running back have we shut down this year? Not one! The Chicago Bears are a good example of where a good defense will get you. Vick is going to make it happen, just keep the other team out of the damn end zone.

This is exactly what I think is going on, too. He's already proven himself to be a leader on this team. I also think he realizesthat he cannot do it all by himself. As you can tell by his numbers, he is not trying to run the ball every play like it seemed the last year or so. As he learns to sit and wait a little more and make plays through the air and not make the plays himself, he will get worse. Treat this like a rebuild year for the Falcons. If they win, great. If not, I won't abandon my fan status of the Falcons. I'm a Falcons fan, not a Vick fan. I've been a Falcon fan since the days of Bartkowski, Andrews, Cain. So I'm not a "Falcons are winning" fan. Later, QD.

I agree with this too. Also remember, we were hot at the beginning of the year, with only one bad game. We started losing players left and right. Vick was out, Duckett was out, our D-Line is not the usual starters. I'm actually going to Monday Night Football tonight, and I can't wait to see Vick play. Like the others were saying, he brings untangible stats to the game. That's how he's a superstar even without the numbers. Its the same reason someone like Dennis Rodman was able to be in the NBA for so long even after his scoring went down. He brought a lot of intangibles to the game that could not be accounted for in the statbook, but it did show up int he win/loss columns. GO FALCONS!!!!

I understand that Mike Vick is a great player. I can also understand that the Falcons as a whole want him to be the next Iron Man Quaterback like Brett Favre. But to what end are you willing to sacrafice winning games just to restrict him into being a type of player that he is not. You signed him for his abilities to do what he does and for as long as they hold him back they are going to continue to suck.

Dont forget about a couple of other teams that the Atlanta Vicks have to get by before they can even think of a Super Bowl Title.

ie: Carolina, Tampa Bay, Seattle, etc etc ....

Im not saying to count them out as being a good team, but when it comes to winning the "BIG" games they fall flat everytime.

The Panther's will win the NFC. BTW, Vick is not the problem. To throw the ball, you have to have two things. 1. Pass protection 2. People who can catch the ball. I can't even name the the wide receivers on the Falcons. That sux. F**k the bs, sign T.O. Go Bengals!!!

Bears vs. Broncos. if the Bears halted our 3 headed rushing attack, Seattle won't fair any better.

    ^you are correct^

Vick: 15td's-12int's those #'s speak for themselves. his biggest reciever is Crumpler...THE TIGHT END!
the team: 2520yrds rushing and 2494 passing. with all that rushing(including Vick) the line can't be "that bad".
btw:in the little time Schaub was in the games he avg. more rushing yards and passing yards than Vick. Schaub passer rating is 92.4 as opposed to Vicks 74.1.
so, if you have anything that would show/prove that Vick is an at least above agv. QB I'd like to see it. He can't throw and can't take a hit if anything he should be a reciever not a QB.
Schaub will probally get traded at the end of the season and become another Brett Farve.
btw:people used to say that Jeff George had 1 of the "best/most powerful arms" ever and we all know how that turned out

Wow, I'm happy to see that I'm not the only one who thinks Schaub would be a great fit with the falcon's. He's gonig to end up being the next great pocket passer. He seems to do good when he plays. Vick is good and all, but it seems as if he isn't progressing as he should.

If he could learn how to stay in pocket, read defenses, and pass, he'd be a dangerous threat. But we all know he's a toothpick, so who knows if that'll ever happen.

    Oh yea...

COLTS VS. Seahawks. 31-14 Colts win

The Colts have been banished, yet again!!! GO STEELERS!!!

I think the Panthers may stun the Seahawks. As long as my Steelers make it past Denver, I'll be happy.
