Manny Pacquiao's welterweight title defense against former titleholder Joshua Clottey was finalized on Sunday, according to a press release from Top Rank, promoter of both fighters.

Pacquiao-Clottey will take place on March 13, the proposed date of the scuttled superfight between Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr., and be held at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Jerry Jones, owner of the $1.2 billion facility, had hoped to host Mayweather-Pacquiao, an event he believed would pack his stadium to capacity, around 100,000 fans.

The stadium will be configured for 40,000 for Pacquiao-Clottey, which will be a pay-per-view event.

Clottey (35-3, 20 knockouts), THE RING's fifth-rated welterweight, fought Miguel Cotto to a highly competitive split-decision loss last June.

The Bronx-based Ghanaian fighter's other two losses are a competitive unanimous decision to Antonio Margarito in December of 2006 and a disqualification to future welterweight champ Carlos Baldomir in November of 1999.
Another fight that the fans DO NOT want to see. Of course Pacman is going to win AGAIN. If Pacman is not going to fight Floyd, fight Sugar Shane Mosley!!

    1. Manny Pacquiao – Let’s hope they can get past their differences and fight in the fall.
    2. Shane Mosley – Mosley, who must beat Berto, is capable of beating Mayweather.
    3. Paul Williams – Mayweather can make a huge statement by fighting Williams.
    4. Andre Berto – Berto would be a excellent choice if he beats Mosley.
    5. Sergio Martinez – Fighting this monster also would be a bold statement.
    6. Timothy Bradley – Bradley is on a roll and has the skills to give Mayweather trouble.
    7. Kermit Cintron – This one is acceptable because Cintron is big and powerful.
    8. Nate Campbell – Campbell isn’t a great choice but might be smart enough to compete.
    9. Devon Alexander – Alexander has fought at welterweight in the past.
    10. Luis Collazo – Collazo is a tough, capable guy who will make any opponent work hard.

Are they numbered by which would be the best opponents for Mayweather? I would like to see what Mayweather can do against Cotto.
