I know the people Brock trained with, as I've trained with a few of them, and from what they told me, Brock did exactly what Greg Nelson asked him to do. He played a very reserved fight as he didn't wanna get caught. If you watch Heath's fights, he gives up his back and the mount because he's been successful with sweeps from that position. Apparently, this portion of Heath's game was well scouted, and they didn't want Brock to make a mistake that would cost him the fight, so he did what Greg Nelson asked, and just rode out a decision to ensure victory. Also, Heath Herring has only been finished a few times in his entire MMA career. A career that spans over 40 fights with guys like Crop Cop, Fedor, Nog X 3, etc. I think it's pretty safe to say that Heath is one of the tougher guys to finish. Randy definitely hasn't fought tougher competition than Heath, and has never fought anyone with the combination of speed, size, and strength that Brock possesses. Style wise, the match up is terrible for Randy, just like Nog is a bad match up for Brock. Brock may very well be able to neutralize all of Randy's strengths...other than experience. However, we saw a guy with MORE experience than Randy, and more experience against top HW's, get beat by Brock, so I'm not sure sure experience will weigh into this as much as people, including myself, might think. Heath is also a bigger HW than Randy, and he struggled with Brock's size. 60+lbs is A LOT to overcome, especially when you haven't fought in a year, and have basically taken a year off from training to make movies, open gyms, etc. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Brock beats Couture.Originally Posted by ironchef
