you should have forseen me coming in here lol.

I am glad / worried about being #1.

I think we deserve it, but with a tough road schedule it could be a curse.

Florida, Arizona State, and LSU are the bigger thorns in my back.

South Carolina, Auburn, and Tennesse are usually good games, but i think they will be a win.

I really think its gonna be either Florida or Georgia winning the east and then taking the SEC for a national bid to the big game.

Auburn and LSU are a big threat to the west though, i feel like Auburn is going to take the west overall though.

but look at last year, they were #1 and lost to Stanford, now that is a curse. But i meant they finished strong and ended #3 i think. So who knows.

When Florida won they came from #7 preseason.

We will see if the Dawgs can handle the pressure. Georgia has a bad reputation for always having amazing teams and dropping the ball in a key game. We have been ranked in the Top 25 end of season for like 10 years now, most of which being top 10

Exactly, UGA has big problems with choking. Hopefully they'll choke on Florida's c.ock this year. Lol I kid, I kid. UGA deserves it let's see what they do with it. But seriously, Gators ftw.

    Without a doubt.

I could see LSU, Auburn, UGA, or Florida winning the national Championship.

Ofcourse UGA has the edge though in this imaginary world

The entire SEC is a 2 team race, FL and UGA.

LSU has a significant dropoff over last year. The lack of a QB with any playing time will hurt them. They will benefit from a pretty easy schedule though. 8 Home games and maybe 3 rough games all year with the last one being Oct 25th.

Auburn fields a strong team as usual, but will never make a real splash in a national sense other than as a possible spoiler. They should finish out the year ranked in the High teens or low 20's with a 9-3 record. Losses to UGA, WVU and someone else along the way.

TN will have a significant drop-off from last year as well and is playing for the Capital One Bowl.

UGA has a very potent team coming abck, but their O-line is getting thin. 1 or 2 season ending injuries already and 2 more suspensions will make each lineman singularly important as the season wears on. Any more injuries and we will start to see a significant drop off in performance.

FL is a question mark. Will Moody be good enough to take pressure off Tebow? Can Tebow stay healthy? Can Harvin stay healthy? Will the embarassingly bad pass and 4th quarter defenses allow FL to win a close game against someone better than Ole Miss?

    In the end:
UGA wins the SEC easily with 1 IC loss when no one else has less than 2 or possibly 3. Whether or they goto the NC depends more on the OSU vs USC game than any other game in the country.

    Exactly.

I think we have good teams in LSU and Auburn but i think the west is just going to tear itself apart. Alabama will probably field some of these players from their new #1 (in some polls) recruiting class and Ole Miss is getting their act together.

It will be a blood bath between Florida and Georgia and then a sweep of whoever wins the west.

Georgia deserves this, as cheesy as that sounds.

Having the most NFL players ever out of the SEC, UGA has consistently throughout its history fielded great teams. Under Mark Richt every year has been deserving, but a key loss has always kept us back.

I don't know if it is going to happen this year, i don't want to jinx anything. But boy they deserve it. I really want to see The Bulldawgs vs. Southern Cal or Texas (most likely not gonna happen, 10+ win seasons is most likely over).

Its time to unleash the Dawgs on the nation.

I think UGA has 2 major hurdles. Gamecocks... Spurrier just has Voodoo over UGA. Same thing with Florida. I think as long as UGA's mental game is there, and they arent plagued by health issues, UGA is gona be unstoppable!

    GO DAWGS!!!

    Hulud... c'mon now.

Arizona State will not move up to #1 from #15 if they win that game...

    maybe #3 or #4

all it will do is push USC or Ohio State up into that position like it always is

i dunno man, we'll see. cause i dont really see anyone losing before then.

plus if either OSU or USC blow each other out then there is no reason they shouldnt leap UGA.

let me preface by saying i am uga fan. every team in the sec is a threat. even vandy and kentucky. they both ruined a few good seasons last year. the dawgs are still young, but they handled it last year and they will handle it this year. knowshon is a fvckun phenom and only a sophmore(rs) and stafford is only a jr. plus Massaquoi is back too! not to mention mark richt knows how to motivate them dawgs!! after the first touchdown of the florida game(you gators remember what happened that game right?) having the team rush the endzone and celebrate set the tone for the rest of the game. even though he didnt intend on the whole team rushing rushing in, its still genious! and the blackout where we MURDERED AUBURN, yeah GO DAWGS!!!!

There are only 2 top tier teams in the SEC this year with FL and UGA. I only put FL in that class because of their highly potent offense. Unless there defense makes a 100% improvement then it is a liability and FL drops into the good catagory.

There are going to be 2 good teams also in LSU and Auburn. After that you have a significant step down.

We also saw the motivation during the SC and TN games. In both games UGA was completely flat. They also came in flat against Vandy and were extremely lucky to make out of that game with a win.

uga loses two regular season games this year. one to florida or lsu becomes they will stop georgias run game and stafford is not good enough to win the game by himself imo. then the second one will be to the volunteers, south carolina or possibly georgia tech. and they'll lose that game cause they wont come prepared and expect the other team to give them the win. uga finishes number 8 and plays in the sugar bowl.... again

i can see the florida loss.

LSU i don't think will happen, i see auburn being a loss over lsu.

    Georgia Tech = not happening

    Tennessee = not happening

South Carolina = i think it will be scarey close, but a Dawgs win with a comeback. The cocks always give UGA a run for its money

so wait let me try and grasp your logic here...

your saying that a #1 team will have to win in a comeback against an unranked team and #2 vs. #3 will play the same week but the polls will not move up either USC or OSU?

    Georgia Tech = not happening

    Tennessee = not happening

South Carolina = i think it will be scarey close, but a Dawgs win with a comeback. The cocks always give UGA a run for its money
i really think this might be the year for SC t move up,ive been waiting for it for what 3years now?

and every year they gotten better and knock off good teams,i really think thats gonna be UGA's toughest game, cause its almost a mind hurdle

and im a GT fan through and through............and i ave no idea what GT is gonna look like and that means UGA wont either........new coach, new offense, new defense, new running QB.......this will be a different GT then we have been seeing from the last 10 or so years, and im pretty excited but also scared of that

yea i go to south carolina and everyone on campus has the same buzz about it.

Spurrier is a damn good coach and has worked wonders with what he has been given.

Here is the thing though, our passing defense is there, they will put a lock on Stafford. But last year USC had the worst running defense in the SEC. you see the Arkansas game? lol yea exactly.

Moreno is going to run right through them every time, sure the brinkely brothers will be reunited on the field and be layign down the pain train, but i don't think that is enough to carry the rest of the run defense.

Not to mention Spurrier is playing musical chairs with the quarterbacks.

So i think if South Carolina was one of our last 3 games, they would have figured out the QB and would have gotten their game straight, but luckily at Week 3 i don't think they will have it together.

This is why i expect South Carolina to beat the almighty ACC powerhouse Clemson this year.

IDK, they are so stacked on defense they moved Eric Norwood (a huge 275 lb end) to a linebacker position. And with the new Defensive Coordinator (who worked miracles at Mississippi State) they will have one of the best defenses in the SEC and maybe in the country. They have raw strength, power, and speed in the secondary with Thomas and Munnerlyn. I think Moreno will have a hard time running consistently.

And amazingly this year, there really is no QB controversy, except the one that sports writers and fans have created. Spurrier has said for a while now that Beecher is his QB. Garcia just got back from suspension and still has an ankle problem. Even after his terrible scrimmage last week Spurrier isn't changing his mind at all.

I expect the UGA vs. USC game to be another nail-biter as usual, but USC might take this game out from Georgia's feet if they aren't careful.
