microsoft will of course deny this information
just like sony denied a price drop on ps3's till day before it happened. or they denied release of 80gb models etc.
all companies will deny things like this until they officially have their PR group announce it. thats how the business's work. If microsoft feels their not ready to announce it, even if its available lets say in 2 weeks, they will deny all "rumors"
but the SKU thing is normally always correct, and this time simply because also one of the blu-ray drive manufacturers hinted at winning a huge microsoft BD drive contact as well. and in fact there was news that asus was supposed to get the contract but instead it went to someone else. Or from someone else to asus i forget.
There is alot of news surrounding this to simply be rumor. But if its a "add-on" or in built i dont think theres confirmation. the new SKU's could simply be a package for the 360 + blu-ray add on.. or with built in. that part will have to wait to see.
Either way I would not purchase the add-on's. They way MS has it setup via the USB through the 360, the sound quality on these movies is almost always lost. high lvl encodes that is. If a distributor puts a ****ty low lvl old encode it wont matter, but I personally dont think its worth it. You also lose some video quality, which you may or may not notice.
