negative.....the problem is really cooling....it's cheap soldering, that is manufactured so fast that it's not really done very well, and when your 360 heats up it become brittle and just breaks contact and the heat sink has some heat sink gel that is pretty cheap and it dries up pretty quickly or faster than microsoft thought it would, so it does not absorb alot of the heat that it's suppose to....so the guys who have fixed it themselves, just re soldered and applied alot more heatsink gel/goo and their's fired up no problems.
I have a first launch 360, and haven't had a problem at all (knock on wood) and I've had gears of war marathons, as well as madden tourneys and it's never failed me....so I'm one of the lucky ones
