seriously though, the $1500 range has become the standard for lcds just under 50in and dlp projection in the 50in+ category, but like u said, just got to know where to look

mike, define a good brand. 42-46" lcd 1080 can be found under 2000 easily. My 42" plasma plays all this shit just as well and its only 720p. I watch movies more than anything, i wanted a really bright screen with huge contrast. Plasma it was. I love my Wii, we bought one the other day, raving rabbids is hard as shit when you start trying to shut those god damn outhouse doors.

My 55 in was $1200 new with a 5 year warranty 2 years ago. It plays in 1080 also.

the new Poke mon stadium will be the first,but MP3 isnt due out till the fall,so i hope they make it online,it looks like the best controling shooter yet for the Wii

from everything i've seen, pokemon online has been released in japan, but there were issues that will prevent it from being released before ssbb and batallion...we'll see...i don't care what's first, i just want online gaming! btw...anyone get on the news channel yet?

I didnt know anyone was comparing the Wii to the other systems, its not that baddest assed graphics and shit, but who cares. I dont have a badass 1080p tv and HD cables and all that shit so my stuff wont support the ps3's capabilities.

My thoughts as well. All the games that Sony released just didn't seem fun. I go to a local gaming place where they had a PS3 and Resistance for it as well. I was pleased with the gameplay and with the graphics and all. But, until Logitech makes another wheel, for the PS3 this time, and either the next Gran Turismo or the next Soul Caliber comes out...Ill be old school and stick with my PS2.

yeah but 11 wasn't a normal FF game in the sense that it was a multiplayer based game, not ur traditional (and more linear) ff story.

remember that when resident evil four came out exclusively for the cube, it was hailed as one of the best graphically looking games ever....i imagine capcom will max out the wii's potential as well....

Of course the PS3 is suffering now, but even in its suffering it still sold almost double the 360 when it was launched.

The 360 sold approx. 600,000 units in its first six weeks. It also had the crappy game launch issues, and we all remember all the problems they were having with the consoles.

The PS3 sold 1 mil in its first 6 weeks. It hasn't had anywhere near the problems the 360 had (and some are still having). The only thing holding it back are the games.

The Wii is going to sell regardless due to the bargain. Kind of like an economy car. They sell a lot because its cheap transportation. Case in point, civics. Not bashing the Wii, its a great system for the money, but it doesn't compare in performance.

Its to early to be saying which system will win, give it a year. And all this time PS2 games still out sell all others.

if you mean the evaluation by what they look like when gaming on each, here's my opinion:

360-very crisp graphics that seem to respond well to controls (no choppyness) like the ps3 they basically kept the same controller setup in a way and the games that have been made for it so far are amazing
ps3-amazing graphics like the 360, but probably a bit more of an edge by way of that, but i'm not sure because i haven't played the newer 360 titles..the games out for it right now suck!
wii-potential, but obviously not as strong as the other two systems..i believe the number i've seen is that the wii is 2.5 to 3 times stronger than the cube, which means theres still potential for some amazing eye candy on the wii..the only problem is that everyone wanted the first games to have "control" and threw graphics to the wayside...i own the wii and have red steel, farcry, and zelda...zelda is the only of the three with very good graphics...zelda is also a ton of fun and the control is amazing..i've played dbz budokai tenkaichi 2 as well and the graphics/gameplay for that game are amazing for a release title...

opinion..for graphics/games go to the 360
fun/gameplay/games go to the wii
to show off to friends with something you spent to much on..you guess

ur tv supports 1080i but its not 1080 resolution

also the sony 50" 1080p sxrd was 1400 a few weeks back.. and the lcos technology is a ton better than any dlp 1080p set out there.. so your definitely not looking in the right places.
