    Default Before the b20 swap

---> I just wanted to say thank you to all the people that help contributed with the information. And as most of you guys know in the past few months i have been gathering parts for the swap and have finally accomplished that. This edited version of the thread is just to make sure if anyone sees anything that i have left out for the swap before the heart transplant takes place. If any please dont hesistate so then i can start ordering the parts ASAP and hopefully get the swap done by early dec 22 or late dec 29. <---

i have been looking on honda-tech but the FAQ that i found with a b20 is mainly on civics not on a crx. If u do by any chance find some on H-T plz send me the thread link.

You can get Ebay motor mounts for $100 and an Avid Shift Linkage for $136. So unless he sells it for cheaper, I wouldn't buy it.

If its not an SI you need the SI spindles, or DA spindles.

With what I've done, I've found that doing the swap I'd convert it to OBD1 first thing, being as you're starting from scratch. Saves you money later, if your thinking about boosting. Just a thought. I love my b20. Torque FTW! B20 Vtec for the bigger win lol.

wouldnt it save me money by not converting it to a OBD1 since a crx came with OBD0

Initially you will save money by not converting to OBD1, but in the long run OBD1 is your best bet. Tuning software for OBD1 is a lot better than old OBD0 technology also.

If he is going with $100 ebay mounts I doubt he is worried about tunning?.

but obd-1 is best bet when it comes to tuning and anything else.

You want to make you engine compatible to your car, not your car compatible with to your engine. All you need is a obd0 ls distributor and a obd0 ls ecu (both from a 90-91 Integra). In addition, depending on what b20 you get, you may want to get a LS intake manifold (or skunk2), because some b20s come with a huge intake manifold that doesn't clean the hood.

im planning to get a b20b with 143hp/133. And yea i read about how the intake manifold from a b20 is too big and will need something else like what u mention sk2 IM or ls IM. Also about the obd wouldnt it better to get obd0 converted to obd1.

Again thanks for all your input

Well since you have to buy a distributor and ecu anyways, you might as well go obd1 because you would have to do the same thing again anyways. So get an obd1 integra ecu and distributor (93-95 integra) and a obd0-obd1 conversion harness.

Is obd1 better than obd0, yeah for the fact that you have much better and easier tuning options if you plan on taking your car to the next level.

okay does anyone know how much it will cost to get dpfi to mpfi conversion with obd0-obd1 because i just bought a obd0-obd1 ecu harness in which i dont know if i would need it. Yes im doing a obd1 conversion from an obdo0. But then rywire told me it will cost me a total of 300 which i think is alot and trying to find another alternative route around. Since i bought the obd0-obd1 ECU conversion harness what are some ways i can make it compatible with a dpfi to mpfi that is came with obd0. Those that have experience can u tell me the exact amount it would cost me.

Your original engine harness plugs into the green and black plugs, and the gray plugs plug into your obd1 ecu. The lose wires are ran into your engine bay to the components that shown in the directions.

You need the mpfi harness to add addition injectors and a resister box to your car. This mpfi converted harness needs to be for a OBD0 setup car because you already bought a obd0-1 subharness (unless you like wasting money). That mpfi harness is a engine harness and you will replace your current engine harness with that and you will have to de-pin a few of your original ecu plugs. Then those plugs will plug into the obd0-1 subharness, and you're basically done. I would suggest you researching mpfi conversion and obd1 conversion for me info.
