    your trans has nothing to do when VTEC engages

    it will hurt your gas mileage though if you are in it all the time kind of like a turbo

    I'm at 4700-5k at 80mph,and stock VTEC engages at 5k but I bumped it up to 5500

    chip the ecu ! and yes with b16 trannys you really cant go that fast with out being in vtec.My friend has his vtec at 5500 but with stock p28 at like 75 -80 hes in vtec
