I'll probably come up there, but hang out near the back, or with this so called "slow" group. I still have the stock hf motor and don't plan on putting in the mini-me for a couple months.
I know the mountain very well, but will most likely be running on my daily driven 13" wheels/tires.. So again i'd like to come cruise and hang out with everybody, but won't be driving hard for a few more months.

Not positive on the mountain run, but I"m still looking at coming. I can probably only run the mountain or run the strip, so Im' in debate which to go to if I can only afford one.

Does anybody realize that the mtn run is scheduled for the sunday of gold rush? AKA the worst weekend of traffic in dahlonega of the year?
Little late now, lol. I would suggest we find another meeting spot than trying to go through town, b/c that would be a mess.

Alright kids...I was up in Dahlonega yesterday visiting friends. This IS scheduled the weekend of gold rush. In addition, the mountains are now HIGHLY patrolled. Went up on a Tuesday, and I saw at LEAST 10cops JUST on the way up to the mountains. I didn't even bother making a pass.
I wanna go with ya'll, and may still go if ya'll keep the date, but it's not at ALL a good idea...

Usually during gold rush there are a ton of GSP and law around the square directing traffic etc. I would actually venture to say that law enforcement on mtn runs will probably be at a minimum since they allocate so much resources to managing traffic. Its just getting around town is a little more difficult.
Guess I'll be the first to flake out. As of right now I'm up in the air on this one. Nothing to do with gold rush, but as of now my white car is in the shop and I'm not too sure what I got planned for it. lol
So should I feel better that the law won't be around the mountains & we should be fine or should I be disappointed that there might be a lot of cars around the mountains & we won't be able to do our thing? I don't live up there so I don't know but is it worth my time coming or should I just stay at home now .. ?
