met up with dare in columubus ga on friday and worked on his car and mine and came up with this for a good 2 days worth of work

u need to cut a U shape this is where the dremel and red bull came in took us nearly 8 hours to cut it all out my next upgrade is traction bars for sure

this is my clearance now













since we already had the dremel out we decided to throw a 1st gen integra lip on my hatch as well it works well but you still need to trim it some on the sides and use a couple of self tapping screws








dare added a velocity stack to his car which improved his airflow here is a side by side view of the old one vs the new one







if your running the AEM hybrid intake like me and dare and you want to run the larger velocity stack you have to cut about an inch or so of the end of the bottom of the intake piping to clear your bumper

nope not ready alan car still needs a few things time to visit vuong for a valve adjustment

its not bogging as much as it used to and i can feel that it moves alittle better i wish i could have got to dyno before the header install just to see but eh me and dare are trying to set up a small dyno day just for the squad to get some numbers since things have changed on his car and mine a bit plus i need a baseline

Well I can say I feel a slight difference and you actually hear a more aggressive sucking sound. We're see if it actually helps at the next dyno day. Oh yeah, you won't be able to unless you get a 3in intake.

I pray that the bottom of the header doesn't get smashed up in the 1st week. It hangs as low as my 4-1 and I've dented a few of them already, I'm on like my 3rd one. Get Charles at MSPi to make you a skid plate for it ..

Yall boys are running some big boy intakes (3"). Guy & I are running the same Ebay 2.75" CAI. We should swap intakes on dyno day & see if the 3" hybrid + velocity stack actually makes a difference. If it does then who knows, I might upgrade.

Not sure how much Charles charges, but tell him I told you about it. Shouldn't cost much though .. my shield still dented my header but no where flat crushed like how it would be w/out one; it lasted for a long time too, but the bottom part of it completely came off few months ago.

That won't work because you actually have to cut part of the chassis to get the intake to work and the stack wont fit your intake without a reducer.

the bumper isn't the problem, it's the air filter cutout.

Yeah thats what I'm talking about. You got to dremel out the hole a little bit before you install the AEM hybrid intake.
