    Default Ohhhhhh ****...

    Yay so my swap is finnaly done now and I have a few gremlims I have to solve.
    Code 16- fuel injectors-solved this one
    Code 17- Electronic speed sensor Vss- WTF? Car dont have electric speedo
    Code 20- Electrical load detector- ??? No clue what that is
    Code 21- VTEC spool solenoid valve - ... I have a ZC sooo how the hell...

    The only code I need to solve is the 20 I think 16/17/21 are bull**** my car just wants to toss in my face so **** those... Anyways car idles fine but at wot it loves to sputter and die. I have to keep blipping the gas to keep it alive. It died 20times on my test run which was only a mile... need help. Pics...

    for the speed sensor make sure the cable is all the way in the tranny and make sure you have a clip holding it in

    mine was throwing that code for a while and I got a clip from honda and now it works fine

    I would say check on h-t for code 20

    yayayayaya another ZC. i think im might get some i heart my ZC stickers made sice quite a few people have them in the group? +1 for jooo.

    are you running the right ecu???? there shouldnt be anything for vtec?? could solve more problems too.... i have an obdo ls ecu if you need one

    Just fixed that one
    I did the zc swap for simplicity and the fact its a D and not a B. If you did make stickers I'd buy one

    ZC ftl right now Its kinda pissing me off.
    And just got a code 14 after I fixed the code 17. :p

    and run all ur questions by the guys on www.thezcr.com thats the best resouce i've found for ZC's man.

    Well I just solved the 14, 16 and now I have a 10. And I unplugged my after market tach and solved the dieing/sputter/falling on face stalls. Drove it at 8pm was ok, but still had the 10,14,16 codes soo it just wouldnt go over 3500rpms. Need to get the code 10 and then drive to see...

    code 10 is IAT-intake air temp sensor I believe

    Now I cant answer anything, but I am wondering why its so clean, well spartan. Mine looks like ish, but I guess a B18 is different from a ZC?

    Considerably. The ZCs are essentially a DOHC D-series engine. They are a drop in swap, with nothing really tough needed. There are some SOHC ZCs, but many are DOHC.

    Got it running. My ecu came chipped with my motor so maybe it has an option for Vtec. Now the only codes I have are some o2 codes 1 and 41 so a new o2 sensor should do the trick. I really have no questions about codes anymore honda-tech has all the code answers. The car stills bogs whenever I give it wot, but not at 90% throttle. This is what bazzles me why at wot?

    try switching ur tps sensor wires...I had to do that when I converted mine to OBD-1

    pretty simple unless you're converting it to OBD1

    Yup. I did a ZC swap into a DX hatch a little more than a year ago for a friend of mine. Kept everything OBD0 and he did the wiring for the MPFI swap. Car is still running strong, tmk, my friend sold it several months ago.

    Hell, even the OBD1 conversion isn't that tough with a conversion harness.

    it's tough when you dont have a conversion harness though, haha. i'm pretty sure when my dad did his swap the 1st time he made the harness.

    doesn't it seem SO fast compared to the DX? but you'll get used to the speed pretty quick and realize it's still incredibly slow, haha.

    Whateva my car flys now andif it seems slow I'll drive my gli and when I get used to that I'll go back to the ef. Well onto some bad news I dropped something into my timing belt cover and now my timming belt is cracking so it will be down for a while...boooooo, but I did install a new o2 so no codes. YAY!!!

    Also going to look into a exhaust but thinking more towards custom made. Maybe a magnaflow muffler with some 2.25in piping with no cat. Unless I can find a buddy club pro spec II for cheap. As is less then $200 cheap.

    yeah just replaced the timing belt in the mean while I also broke my intake camshaft... so thats cool now I need to know the difference between d16a9 cams and the dohc zc's.


    And the cracks
