    Default Attn: Boosted EF Guys! Help!

    I've orderd just about everythiing I need from the turbo to injectors for my car. A crx, B16A OBD0.

    I also ordered bigger injectors, a 370cc injector. Now, I'm told I need a chipped ECU.

    What I dont know, is what P# I need, nor where to get one. I can afford to buy the ECU but I dont want to buy the data system. Hondata Etc.

    Basically I'd like to buy an ECU already chipped and set up to run up to a 450CC injector.

    I'm runnign stock compressoin, at 6psi. I'm also told that the 370s wont flow enough for 6psi also. I did buy a 255 Walbro, and a pressure regulator as well.

    CROME is a cheap way to tune your car, but it requires an OBD-1 ECU. For OBD-0 I would recommend TurboEdit, or if you can find one cheap, Zdyne. No matter what ECU or program you go with, you must have it tuned for your setup, preferably on a dyno. Zdyne can do anything, but for a B16 you will otherwise need an OBD-0 ECU with an output for VTEC. This basically limits you to a chipped PR3, PW0, or PS9.

    Don't go with Hondata, not only because they are overpriced, but because of their recent lawsuits against the tuning community. They're ripping off their own userbase, so **** them.

    Ah you were deffinetely the guy I was hoping would respond. Ben, evasive, told me to talk to you last night when I spoke with him on the phone lol

    The zdyne seems like a pretty slick way to go. The problem, is that I dont have a lap top. I do have a small deck PC that I could hook up outside to edit everything. Would that work, or do I have to have the PC hooked up at all times?

    If you have never tuned anything you're not going to be able to tune your own turbo project. Not only would you need a laptop hooked up at all times to do so, but you will need a wideband O2 sensor with a controller (Like the LC-1) and an emulator to do real time adjustments. Not to mention a ROM editor if you want to burn a chip. PLEASE have a professional tune your car. For what you would pay for everything that you need, you would be able to buy several hours of dyno time.

    Stay away from turboedit, zdyne doesnt even have much support any more. Crome is the way to go for inexpensive engine management. But i see that you have a b16, you should probably steer away from learning how to tune on that motor, since its higher compression they are more finicky about fuel and timing than a lower compression d16 or something.

    As far as another motor, i really dont have a choice lol. I got a 91 ranger with a V6 in it lol

    im not suggesting puttin another motor, rather that you should let someone experienced tune the b16 rather than trying to learn on it yourself

    Ohhh, Yes yes, there's a shop somewhat local to me, who did my friends b16 civic, who's going to be doing mine as well.

    hey im in the process of doing my swap....but where are you taken your car to do the swap, thanks, i might just let someone do my swap for me.

    The swap is done in my car. I'm actually in Pennsylvania. I used to be in GA lol.
