Xmas isnt the same

Is it me or is xmas just not the same anymore??

remember when you were younger you couldnt sleep on xmas eve you wanted to stay up all late, Now im kinda like oh xmas is this week cool i dont have to work on monday!

I mean i love spending time with my fam and all but its like i get in a grumpy mood now im kinda like ok lets open gifts and then im ready to come back home

I used to be happy as hell during this time i guess since i can buy just about anything i want getting a gift from someone isnt the same. I really want the feeling of omg i wonder whats in this box, rip open the paper and yessss its a SNES!!! rip open the next one what !!! my own t.v omg the feeling you get when you have a new gift is priceless.

To be able to run outside with your new bike and ride around the neighborhood with the paper still in the spokes not caring that its cold out and your still in your pj pants with a coat on you just want to ride and show off.

Coming back in the house after being yelled at by mom to come and eat breakfast. Then getting yelled at again for pushing the bike through the house with dirty tires

eating my pancakes and scrambled eggs and watching A christmas story or charlie browns christmas i sit and wonder...

What the hell happened I never though growing up would be this crappy to where im not excited i guess in the whole husstle and bustle of work sleep eat sleep work hastle ben work sleep you get lost in it all

well if i get that palm sander i wanted maybe it will come back polished fat fives coming soon beeeshes!!!

Everyone I would just like to thank Drew for calling me at 12:37 today and waking my ass up, once again thanks Drew....lol you called me like you knew that you were getting a damn Skyline for Chirstmas or something.



And for me J, you already knew how I grew-up so I guess you can say that I've been that way since I was 12. My parents broke me out of that addiction lol. The whole family thing......sighs....... I wouldn't even want to talk about it. Through the years everything about Christmas has be tainted and the true meaning is slipping away.

christmas definatly isn't the same when you grow older... when you grow older, in my experience, you get more joy out of giving presents than receiving them. like, i think i am more excited to give my mom and dad the presents i got for them than to open my own presents, ya know?
