Rear wiper blade removal....

I'm changing the way my hatch looks so I'm trying to remove the rear wiper arm and I'm changing the back center lense. Need some advice on how to get them off without breaking anything. Do I just unbolt everything and just twist off the wiper? Thanks in advance.

You should just have to remove the motor, and remove the screw under the end of the wiper where it attaches to the car. Then from there you should just have some rubber pieces to remove. I did a rear wiper delete on my gti and thats all I had to do. It should be the same.

Haha. Hope you found it. You probably have to flip up a piece at the end of wiper and you should see it.

ya I'm done with the back, now I'm just about done prepping the trim for some paint.

I don't know about any cap, but I'm keeping the rubber piece that was already there. I just folded it inwards. Should keep water out. Good alternative for now. But if you find a cap for the space let me know.

Lowes. It's called a nylon plug, and it's about $1.50 for two. Then just use some silicone caulk or sealant around the plug when you put it in so it doesnt leak. Here's mine, I know it doesnt belong in ef squad but w/e.

IDK if home depot has them. Lowes def. does, it's on the last aisle on the right if all Lowes are setup the same.

Its at lowes in the Hardware aisle. In the Misc. drawer, or "Hard-to-Find" drawer. Its a small unimportant piece so you won't find it on the website. And they come in white or black....I got the 1" ones and its just a tiny bit larger than the hole in our hatchs. I forced it in and it fits ok, didn't use glue or anything.

Rear wiper deletes? EF (no pun intended) that! Just replace the hatch metal! Or, if you wanna bring them up to the shop, we can fill it and paint it, and no one will ever know it was ever there.
