14.1 Issuance of NASA Competition License
NASA Competition Licenses are only issued from the NASA National Office, and are honored by all Regions. The National Office will evaluate each candidate on a case by case basis and may issue a Competition License providing that the license candidate meet one of the following sets of conditions:
14.1.1 NASA completed Provisional License holders:
    1. Submit their completed Provisional License.
    2. Submit a copy of their state driver‟s license.
    3. Submit their completed NASA (or approved) Physical Exam Form.
    4. Submit the appropriate license fee.
    5. Submit an Application for Competition License
14.1.2 FIA, Grand Am, IMSA license holders
    Regional, National, Pro:
    1. Submit a copy of their current license.
    2. Submit a copy of their state driver‟s license.
    3. Submit a copy of their last Physical Exam Form.
    4. Submit the appropriate license fee.
    5. Submit an Application for Competition License
14.1.3 SCCA completed Novice Permit holders:
    1. Submit a copy of their completed Novice Permit.
    2. Submit a copy of their state driver‟s license.
    3. Submit a copy of their completed SCCA (or approved) Physical Exam Form.
    4. Submit the appropriate license fee.
    5. Submit an Application for Competition License
Note: All Physical Examinations shall be renewed and resubmitted as per the instruction sheet (page one) of the Physical Examination Form.
    14.1.4 Current SCCA license holders
    Regional, National, Pro:
    1. Submit a copy of their current SCCA license.
    2. Submit a copy of their state driver‟s license.
    3. Submit the appropriate license fee.
    4. Submit an Application for Competition License
    14.2 Waiver of License Requirements
The Event Chairman may grant a temporary Waiver of License Requirements under one of the following conditions (per Region only):
    1. It is the driver‟s first race event of the NASA region and he/she shows proof of a currently valid SCCA, Grand Am, FIA, or IMSA (PSR) Road Racing license.
    2. If the driver has completed the NASA Race Licensing Certification and has been approved by the Region‟s Licensing Instructor for a Provisional License.
    3. If the driver is part of a “Co-Sanctioned Group” that holds a currently valid license with that group."
I will give them another shot in December as I have an SCCA competition license now, NASA requires the whole HPDE thing to even register for their comp school which is fine, except in a case where someone has loads of track day experience it just seems useless to me to go through another ladder of moving up, it's a huge investment to run that many HPDEs. I've read the CCR and even some people in charge don't follow it directly, I've been told two different things about something by the same person. I'm not going to cry and complain about it as I will try them again, but it's not only me who has had issues with the way things are ran.

It keeps things safe. It helps to know the rules, too. You'll like running with NASA.

I hope, I just plan on doing that one race, SCCA offers more of what I want to go after.

hopefully it's not hot as fuck. We'd like to take the track record, if not, it'll have to wait until fall.
