The problem with building a good 240 track car, is that you'll probably want to add a turbo or do an engine swap, which is usually frowned upon by many organizations.

I'd love to see and engine swapped or turboed 240 come and run NASA TT with us. I think that it could do well.

I really just think the suspension geometry sucks for 240's

Yeah I really haven't driven a 240 that I liked handling wise, and I have driven quite a few with some pricey suspension.

If it was a decent handling car then there would be TONS out there. The KA isn't lacking so much power/torque that it wouldn't be competitive...at least they would be competitive with each other no matter what. They just suck overall in the handling department.

The KA lives in road racing, the 240 however doesn't lol.

Lots of GT cars use the KA24E.

Amen. No matter how much money people dump in 240's they are still sloppy/slow road racing cars (relative to similar cars with similar mods). I believe it's just because it's a long, narrow car without optimum weight distribution or suspension geometry.

What's funny is they're not even a very good drift car without serious suspension upgrades. (Shhh...don't tell anyone though, it'll hurt too many peoples feelings)

They really aren't lol, they are just crazy cheap.

Hell if I wanted a drift car I would get a E30, 325, more power and torque, cheap, easy to fix and work on, and better looking.

If I were to semi build a car for the track/DD, I think I would go with either a ED civic or CRX just because those are some really fun cars in the corners with a little cash thrown in them. I would prefer a 1988 to 1991 civic hatch or a CRX of any year. Just throwing some cheap track car ideas at you. But best of luck with the research and purchase of whatever you decide to get.
