I need some place I can take some runs with my car. AutoX only allows for like 2 runs, where can I spend a day making changes to the car?

Seat time has an event at Roebling Road this weekend and still has openings. That's how I do testing for the cheap. Otherwise look at the various tracks website schedules and they will tell you if the events are open or not. Then just contact the sanctioning bodies to register. When I build a motor for a race car for someone I break it in on the streets around my shop all the time, only been pulled over once and got out easily, of course the streets I drive don't have much traffic either.

empty parking lot! For real, not sure how the cops up there, but their is a old Wal-Mart parking lot down here where it move to a different location and alot of people go and play around and the cops don't bother them, Also plenty of times the cops would show up and never make them leave.

just drive it on the streets. but make sure its a pretty low traffic and secluded road. OR even better, go to a test and tune/autocross event.

The three cops we saw was pretty rare though, they of course knew something was up but thankfully didn't have their radar on. Wonder what the fine for 125 in a 45 would be? Your best bet for any real data gathering is to go to a track day. A parking lot won't really tell you much as you can't repeat it without cones and that draws attention.

I remember on the way to the shop me and my co-pilot felt like we driving in some weekend industrial wasteland. There was NO ONE on the road.

siegel FTL. sorry, I have my reasons.

It depends on what you want to test the car for. If you want to set it up for autocross, go to an SCCA test and tune. If you want to set it up for road courses, go to a road atlanta track day or go to a little tally day

What is the point in having an auto cross car if you can't even race it?
