Seat time has an event at Roebling Road this weekend and still has openings. That's how I do testing for the cheap. Otherwise look at the various tracks website schedules and they will tell you if the events are open or not. Then just contact the sanctioning bodies to register. When I build a motor for a race car for someone I break it in on the streets around my shop all the time, only been pulled over once and got out easily, of course the streets I drive don't have much traffic either.

The three cops we saw was pretty rare though, they of course knew something was up but thankfully didn't have their radar on. Wonder what the fine for 125 in a 45 would be? Your best bet for any real data gathering is to go to a track day. A parking lot won't really tell you much as you can't repeat it without cones and that draws attention.

I remember on the way to the shop me and my co-pilot felt like we driving in some weekend industrial wasteland. There was NO ONE on the road.
