    LOL @ the Initial D

...and LOL at you ^ taking it serious.

Sure maybe a REAL TIGHT mountain road some turns like I said way above would be quicker that way, but still not balls to the wall smoke tire ignited action.

ok well i built this thread to gather people WHO ARE SERIOUS about joining a team.
no one under 18 please (i don't wanna talk to your mom about why she has to buy new tires on HER car all the time)

but its become a debate about whats faster to drift or not to drift I DONT ****ING CARE! im trying to build a team of adults who want to enjoy the company of other who love drifting as well.

meets will be held 2 times a month in Suwanee if all works out rite.

i have 4 people i will be PMing and or meeting with this next weekend if possible.

if your really interested please pm me your cars make model year your Real name and cell phone # so i can send a mass text to all of you explaining when and where we will be meeting.

please for the love of god stop bitching @ each other if your not interested just leave please

good luck on the team.... don't let chris (green91) join, he would only cause havoc when his little truck went end over end

I know this really good drifter down at BP on Pleasent Hill on Saturday nights. He's known as the "BP drifter". He has even gotten arrested for his skills. He has a red/black two toned civic and drag radials in the back. You and him would be good on a drift team.

after i get the signature Wednesday by the company cops cannot do anything as long as we are on the businesses property and we all carry a copy of this in our cars.
everyone who shows up will need to print out one of these (this is the master copy it has the business release too)
i will bring a few more copys but before you do anything this needs to be signed by you and copied the copy for yourself and the master for the company (in case your dumb ass trys to sew them) after you have signed this (there is a Kroger down the street go make a copy for 50 cents) your on your own anything happens to you its YOUR ASS not theres not mine.

ok, I'm going to supply a definition of drifting since you are still stuck on "maximum angle while baking the tires".... "A car is said to be drifting when the rear slip angle is greater than the front slip angle, and the front wheels are pointing in the opposite direction of the turn." And actually during qualifying, time attack, etc. you do see alot more swinging the rear... and drivers put alot more strain on the tires... now on time attacks like Tsukuba circuit where they are using full racing slicks that grip the road like gum on a wall, it makes it pretty difficult to drift and using harder tires just to be able to drift the corners that you actually could drift faster would be unpracticle because you would be slower in the others... I never said its always faster to drift... and I only stated that I heard somewhere that ultimately it could be faster, through physics... we all know that some corners are faster to drift, some are faster to grip, and there are so many variables that determine which are which...

Correcting it would be printing it out, then immediatley throwing it in the trash and registering for a local drift event.

i realize your into drifting yourself... i BY MYSELF am trying to organize this maybe you could give me some tips or something instead of being like all the to her members of IA who have nothing contributive to say other than...

    "haha nice car fag"
"haha im cooler then you cuz i have more reps"

this sight has a tendency to stray far from its original purpose all the time it was made to keep people informed and let enthusiasts meet other enthusiasts, why don't we act like adults and true gear heads and help one another rather than bash ALL THE TIME!

just a few places to look at for organized, legel events. there's plenty around the southeast, and as many people mentioned, they are the way to go.

it would be VERY expensive to practice. I see this as a fail unless you are already good and have sponsers to provide you with an endless amount of tires and unlimited track use.

Ummm, no. We all started somewhere, doing it all on our own dime. No one is just going to "sponsor" you if you're just starting out.

To the guy with the reply about drifting at not the max angle, I was agreeing with SOME forms of four wheel drifts being quick. But people run in and say DRIFTING is FASTEST without much detail, and more then likely they are actually saying real show comp drifting is faster then regular driving.

well back in the day in nascar they used to drift the whole circle, but because they started going too fast the officials made the drivers go around the track without drifting due to safety reasons
