jk... but i know some ppl on southside, if you ever make it down this way...
well i myself and a couple people i know like drifting.. i enjoy style and speed, not just "BUBBBAH LETS GO REAL FAST INA STRAIGHT LINE DERHRERER" no offense
ive come to learn IA isnt exactly drift friendly but ive found a couple people who like it but are not close @ all.
i have the free tires and large lot to practice on... just looking for a few people to help each other build portfolios for various sponsors and such.

BTW to the post before ("everyones found your slower sideways")
proven fact that driftings been around since RWD its quicker to drift a turn than to brake and turn.

Ask any professional drifter that question and you might be suprised at the answerOriginally Posted by MskunkM

while drifters get groupies
i say we love motorsports as a whole or we are just groupies.

And btw you can easily set a FWD car up to oversteer without the ebrake, MIGHT want to learn about car setup and driving before you start drifting...de de deOriginally Posted by MskunkM

I have a Civic, can I join you? =P
Ok, NO IT IS NOT faster to drift a turn. I can bet some SERIOUS money on that.
i would definatly agree with this statement.. maybe if you cant drive its faster for you to drift a turn but go find someone who can really drive and they will spank you in a turn.Originally Posted by simontibbett
Hmm, I think there are many variables innvolved. I can see in some cases where drifting would be faster, such as hairpin turns.Originally Posted by simontibbett
If you were to grip through a turn there are many forces acting against you, where if you are sliding, static friction overcomes kinetic friction. So it just seems logical that sliding would be faster through a turn. I'm no physics guy so correct me if I'm wrong.
i am agreeing with you!
Oh sorry lol, I just misread it.Originally Posted by Mangrum
