the ms3 did beat the 07 wrx on the track.. by 2 seconds i believe, and in every other category except the 0-60. the only cars they compare it to is the wrx b/c it is soo much better than the others in its class (civic-gti-ss-srt4). the ms3 makes as much as the stage2 makes(power wise).. But i mean if ur gonna get technical put a stage 2 ms3 and a stage 2 wrx against each other. stock v. stock is as fair a race as it will get.
if u want the awd, id say go with the MS6 its cheaper than the ms3 and u could prob find a 06 Mazdaspeed 6 fully loaded for about the same as a Ms3. BUt if u want a wrx..i think u could maybe find a used EVO, for maybe around 20-21k. But since u had a awd dsm, u prob are tiredo f lookin at the 4g63... wrx's are pretty cheap these days.. and are nice cars. but im a mazda person..
