you know , chances are this guy is on the forum...no one in this forum should be ragging him on his car, because everyone here is a god damn ricer.![]()
Ok, well dude you drive a Beretta...wtf white trashy trash kind of car is that? No one drives those, except you. Their only owner.
I've seen worse rice on the nissan boards.

I wasn't commenting on the choice of the owner's vehicle, but rather the choice and quality of the modifications. Since you have neither seen my car, nor modifications, it would seem that the only comment here that is irrelevant, would be yours. ;-)Originally Posted by Outphase
Your car is irrelevant. I don't care what you have under the hood. It's a Beretta. On top of that, it's a 'Genuine Cheverolet'

Glad to see that we agree =-)Originally Posted by Outphase
Berretta should have coined the slogan
"berretta; when it takes more than a sweet mullett to prove you rule at the trailor park."
I shall help you with direction then...Could you point out which modifications to my car that you find distasteful?Originally Posted by ChainSaw
Um any money you put into that car, including the purchase of the vehicle.
Any particular reason for such a conclusion? Or do you just judge vehicles as not worthy based on their popularity?Originally Posted by Outphase
Putting any money into a beretta is like drilling a stripper you know has diseases. Its going nowhere and in the end your dick itches.
You both seem to have come to the same conclusion, but yet have not answered the question...which is what leads you to that conclusion?Originally Posted by ChainSaw

Chevrolet.
Beretta.
End of story.
ok, lets start with suspension setup on the front wheels alone. .5-2 degrees of caster and .75-1.5 degrees of negative camber. with a toe adjustable between 1 and 2 mm toe out. and a rear suspension setting so loose you can't even begin to tell how much you can improve the setting. this alone tells me that this is a terrible platform to start any kind of build on because it would never be stable over 90 mph and wheel grip wouldn't be cabable to corner more than .6 g's tops for too long before the tires wore down to nothing and understeered into a tree.
shall I continue?
Now that I will say is a very good reason for thinking....but let me ask, do you seriously believe that the platform cannot be upgraded to correct the poor starting platform? Although, certainly not the most popular to start upgrading, it is by no means incapable of such improvements. Let's just say that having a vehicle that stands out from the crowd is something that appeals to me and if you are truly curious about the handling capability of a beretta that has almost no stock suspension pieces, I would be more than willing to give you a personal demonstration. I can personally attest to it's abilities over 90 mph and have certainly pulled more than .6 g's.Originally Posted by ChainSaw
Um, given that you have the money to make any sort of setup you want, you could technically make it a good track car, but the aerodynamics of the vehicle is that of a brick building on wheels.
There's more to suspension than just coilovers.
And you should probably study some of that before commenting. Given the fact that the beretta has a better drag coefficient than most cars from the factory, I would say that aerodynamics are a moot point in this discussion. Yes, the car is heavier than some, but that can be overcome. That being said, there are no such thing as coilovers made for this car, but yes, that certainly isn't the end all of suspension set ups. I will say that after springs, struts, poly bushings, front and rear swaybar upgrades, and larger and wider tires, the beretta is extremely predictable in the corners and doesn't understeer very often at all. There are several people here that can attest to it's abilities in the corners as I have been on quite a few IA mountain runs with various small groups, but again, if you would like a personal demonstration, I would be more than happy to provide.Originally Posted by Outphase
OMG.. wtf is wrong with some of the people on here?? So what , the guy has a Baretta.. at least its clean unlike many of the hondus/nissans/toyotas/acuras on here.. and he certainly doesnt think its some superstar of a car. It probably is faster then a lot fo the cars buzzing around here... i know i have seen a few that were suprisingly fast.
I have to say..comparing the aerodynamics of the vehicle to anything is dumb.. have you looked at a AE86?? Aero is about as good as a refridgerator..... i have owned 2.. i would know personally.
BACK ON SUBJECT
I have seen that van before... and the sad thing is... it was WHITE boy driving... and had about as much fashon sense as Vanilla Ice
02' Miata
ive actually tailed that berretta in the mountains and unless uve been behind him or riding in the car with him ur not really sure of what it can do. what was the point in coming in here and talking shit about something u have no idea about.
p.s. that van was the hotness
lol jk

well anything is possible with a Tig welder and an angle grinder. I will say that if there was one thing that would be worth cutting up and re-engineering it would be something like a beretta. just because you could re-engineer the suspension to mimic that of a sports car, it would be cheap, theres an unlimited supply of used parts I could use in the process, and it would be funny to wax a viper on the track with handling ability alone.Originally Posted by joecoolfreak
but that being said, the entire platform would have to be re-engineered. It just currently doesn't offer enough stability to be competative on the track.
I will admit that your going the right direction though. Most people would slap on a CAI and a big fat muffler and call it a day.
Lower Coefficient of drag? Are you flying an airplane? Like I said many times before, Money doesn't buy you skills.
