I think you mean the C6 Grand Sport. It has the same back window as the C6 Z06. However the GS does not have a fixed roof like the Z06 (the GS has a targa top just like the Regular Coupes). With the C5 The Z06 has shorter glass (no hatch and actual trunk like the convertibles) and there was also a Corvette made in '99 before the Z06 called the Fixed Roof Coupe which also has the shorter glass.
Are you talking about the difference between this-
and ??
I knew they did this on the C5... but nver really looked at the C6 for this.
normal?
Z06?
GS?
ZR1?
I can't see a difference in the glass on the C6.
Also, the easy way to spot the C5 FRC compared to a Z06 is the vents in front of the rear wheels...they are missing on the FRC.

The glass on the C6's are the same dimensions. Differences include; fenders, quarter panels, front bumper, hood (ZR1), roof (ZR1/Z06 carbon), halo (ZR1/Z06 carbon), lip spoiler (front and rear), side skirts (zr1/Z06 carbon). IIRC the panels are different materials between GS, Z06, ZR1 (maybe the carbon Z06 too).
Never knew the FRC did not have the rear brake ducts.
Yeah, I knew on the C6 that GM used different materials on the body panels across the variations/models and that the ZR1 had a fuckton of other stuff.

Well its official here is the C7: The New Corvette: This Is It the front at least, It kind of reminds me of the Ferrari Berlinetta, I like it.
rear reminds me of the lfa...
Looks like a viper, a r35 gtr, a dbs, and a camaro went into a dark room and this came out.
About to approach beast mode

I'll add more as I find them. CF is going wayyyyy slow. I love it, fucking love it. I know people dislike the taillights but it looked great on stage.

The new C7 is hot.
Here is the reading material that tells about all of the goodies.

There might be some doubles but I think that's enough photos.

Kinda disappoint- looks like a rejected 599 design....with an incredibly ugly rear design. Not only are the tail light terrible, but the quad exhaust is way too busy, dual would have been better.
There is so much about the C7 that has impressed me. I love the front, sides, and I like the rear. The interior to me is up to date and the gadgets seem very cool. I can see what you mean with the exhaust and I can agree. The red with the black grille, vents, and wheels looks amazing in my opinion. However I wish it was one big exit like the Aventador. My biggest complaint is the horsepower/torque and the weight of the car.
Overall there is a big split on opinions with the C7.
I'll be curious to see the production version. I bet some things change between now and then. Though I say "rejected 599", that's not really an insult as the 599 looks spectacular. The side profile and the front look pretty good, but it's that back view that is killing it for me. I also don't like that "pinched" hatch slope...it's too angular for my taste. Gm has really stepped away from the wedge design that had been going for so slong, that's for sure.

i like it......... but it doesnt look like a corvette at all. Looks like the designers got together and said "lets make it look ferrari-ish" also... why they calling it a stingray? looks nothing remotely like a stingray.
I like 95% of the C7, the 5% I don't like is the Camaro spoiler likeness and a little of the taillights. The side profile and especially that rear glass design is to die for. I'm gonna guess a stock C7 will have less of the dark carbon fiberish accents, less pronouced front bumper lip, less aggressive spoiler lip. You guys have to understand that this chassis will last for some times maybe into 2022. Pushing the envelope is exactly what they done and I believe this design will carry it confidently into 2018(5yrs from now). I'm more excited to know what the skin is made of and the rear mounted trans and coolers.
I see....

Kill it before it spreads... The only thing I like is the interior. That's it. The body and wheels are, gross. I see more Ferrari, then Chevrolet body wise. Then, sorta Camaro tails. With Viper/California headlights. With gtr quarter panels, and rear side window. If they were going for a stingray, it should have pop-up head lights, the correct door handles, Correct side vent, Along with a few other things.
What would be the correct vents, headlights, and door handles on a "new up to date" Stingray? That seems to be a silly comment due to the changing times. I know people out there want it to stay traditional but that's who gets left behind, traditionalists. Also on a side note during the release the BMOC at GM said they only give the term "Stingray" to "special" Corvettes. Which I assume to be the models that are revolutionary compared to the previous models. For example the '63 the first year of the coupe which changed the tradition along with many other changes (the first Sting Ray). Then the term Stingray was used in the 70s I guess for "special" reasons as well except I can't think of any off the top of my head except for lower horsepower ratings and styling changes.
Not bashing just throwing out discussion.

Just an opinion.. My opinion isn't going to stop a thing, just making discussion of my point of view being a classic car enthusiast.
I am with you there on classic cars, however this car isn't a classic... yet.
There are some cars out there though that do retain classic looks Mustang, Camaro, and Challenger. They are however in a different class of car.
There is no "right" or "wrong". Hell if GM let the people decide the car would never get built or it would look like the Hills Have Eyes.
Exhaust video... I guess this is the one with valves that open up... I hope not ha.
