I am tempted to call BS on the gas mileage on the Z. Those numbers are obscenely high (34mpg)... even if you do drive highway only. My guess would be that your math is funny, but who knows... you might have some kind of factory freak.

Yes, that's like 10mpg more than the already generous 24 mpg hwy rating...

First time i got behind the wheel of a 350z my initial reaction was "this feels cheap and revs like a truck" granted, i got out of an s2k to test drive the 350z.

First time i got behind the wheel of an rx8 my initial reaction was "wow, i cant believe how powerless this car is" I just cant see using an engine that gets the MPG of a big block chevelle but has the torque of a dirt bike........ that burns oil, floods and more times than not, blows up before 100k miles.

If i had to chose between the 2 cars, id take the rx8 for the platform. Even though i hate the engine, the chassis has a lot of potential.

Your 350 is 35th aniv edition? If not you're not making 300 hp, either way that's to the crank not the wheels.

My G35 has the same motor (if you have VQ35DE) and mine makes about 230 to the wheels.

Don't put you at 300 unless you have a power adder lol. Well they won't on a G anyways. Bolt ons and a tune give you around 260 on a VQ35DE G, idk if the Z is any different.
