Not many things I want to do to the ole gal. Just a few personal touches, get her tunable, and drive the shit out of her.

What does the "35r" part mean? My first thought was turbo.

Think of it like this, your car is FF. So just walk to the rear of the car instead of the front. Besides that, it's all the same! lol.

It appears to be a 91-92 non-turbo? I had a '93 turbo and loved it. They're awesome cars for sure.

Nice MR2. I had a friend that had one until he was drifting and wacked the wall with it. Quick as nuts, those cars are.

It's pretty basic looking with an HKS bov and 35r (of course a big intake and DP).

Thanks, everyone. I'm totally loving this car. It's one on the list that I've always wanted to own one day.
It's been easy to deal with hard to find cars lately (as in trading into), just not able to get rid of them... lol. No bites on the Mercedes after a couple months of being for sale and $1500 in price drop.

Cool. I have an extra HKS mushroom filter, you can have it if you want. Next to see another MK2 owner.

Actually, I think you're right. I don't really know too much about them other than the fact that I really want one

These cars are timeless and classic, much like the mkiv supra. I wish toyota would generate this caliber of car again.

I have a similar thought every so often (anytime I think about these and Supras). Just nothing like them from Toyota anymore. All family sedans and trucks now.

Well ive got a Toyota truck and love it.. wouldnt trade it for anything on the market today. But car wise.. yeah they are pretty boring. The FR-S is a good step in the right direction but still doesnt excite me

Big jump from the Celica, though. Glad to see them going this direction. Only a matter of time before something big comes out.

I will admit i never looked into the weight of the second gen. My 89 had a blacktop with just bolt ons, god it was fun. It gets pretty fuckin hairy in those things though, you're always a split second away from totaling it when you really push the car.
