Default Picked up a new gas saver for couch change.

Not a mitsubishi fan, never have been, still am not. Stumbled across this looking for a WRX. Price was too good to pass up.

2005 Lancer Ralliart. Paid $2800. Spent approx $1k on wheels/tires, lights and misc exterior items including an evo 8 wing that is not shown in the pictures since it's currently being painted. Car runs great, everything works, even has a nice stereo. Unlike other models of nonevo lancer, the ralliart has the mivec engine. Good on gas and gave me the sporty looking 4 door i was seeking with a WRX, minus the performance, which i really dont care about anyways. Not for everyone, but if you're into affordable, overly aggressive styled 4 doors with more bark than bite, enjoy.

    Total investment $3800

The eyelids do worlds of good for this car, and it'll be quite proper with the wing

That actually looks good. Far cry from your 240 but still looks great.

I agree on the first half. I normally can't stand eyelids on cars, but the way this one is set up, it does help the overall look. As far as the wing goes, I disagree. Looks better sans wing. I've noticed (in my opinion of course) that a lot of cars that look good with wings, look even better without. Later, QD.

This generation ralliart had actual performance upgrades over the base model. Close competitor to the sentra ser spec-v of the day. Helluva buy, I'm jealous.

Nice, I agree with Mr. QD. It would look better wingless.

I would normally agree with the wingless, but the way the trunk slopes down a little in the back, i can't imagine that looking good by itself. But, i guess it's all preference.

95% of anything ive ever owned has been wingless, i had a taste for a rally looking car, so a big gaudy wing is the direction of choice.

I'll take pics wingless before adding the evo wing.

From what i read its very different from the base. completely different engine/trans, 40 more hp, mitsu's version of vtec and better suspension.

No, i paid about 1/2 value. Was in the right place at the right time. Bought it from a military guy on post who said he was moving. He didnt want cash and had me transfer the money to a specific location. I'm assuming he had something urgent that needed taken care of. The other ones i see listed start around 5500-6k

I wish. Evo has a longer/wider wheel base and different core support. If you swapped the core and body panels, the wheels still wouldnt line up with the new wheel wells seeing as how the EVO also has extended suspension. The money and effort it would take to do an OEM EVO swap to a lancer.... would easily pay for the cost of an EVO. An EVO has about as much in common with a Lancer as an S2000 does with a Civic.

They do make some decent copycat body kits i might explore. To my amazement.... no company makes fender flares that are like an evo.... so i might try to mold some with expandable foam since that would only cost my time and effort.

This is the EVO copy kit.... it might maybe trick someone into thinking it was an EVO at a 15 yard glance it it had the fender flares.

Red would be the EVO wheel base vs the Lancer wheel base in black
