The reason you hate 240s.... I'm guilty of this too.
The only thing we love as much as our women is our cars. For most of us, myself included... we love cars more than women. We do however, have a relative view on our cars as we do women. We all like unique cars, we want a car that not everyone has, and when we do have our prized possession, we dont like to share it with others or let anyone touch it... much like our women!
I'm sure every guy alive at some point in their life has uttered the phrase " if you wouldn't hit that you're gay ". well, if you wouldnt drive this, you're a peter swallowing, dress wearing nancy boy who will probably be slow to respond to this thread only because you're waiting for your nails to dry.
The thing is..... No matter how much that girl cleans up, whether or not she finished college and got that degree that placed her in that nice respectable office job. We still wouldnt want to know that she was a filthy whore in the past. Even worse.... to have a constant reminder of her past in your face everyday via facebook or to have pictures of her pop up every time you google search.
This is exactly what a 240sx is. In its purest form it is a prom queen. On its worst day it's a filthy skank hooker that gets passed around the frat party to anyone willing to take a turn. No matter whos hands this vehicle winds up in, we cant forget where its been. In the car world, once you go black you can go back..... to red, green, blue, yellow... or any other color, maybe even stripes if that is what tickles your fancy. We dont want to think about someone hitting the walls in our beloved and cherished sports car when we love and caress it with the polish wheel. We dont want to wonder how many times our mechanical obsession has been rear ended in its past.
No matter how much the 240sx cleans up, we simply cant forget the skank that was. Though most of us would gladly take a ride if given the chance and probably think about it a few nights when nobody else is around, most of you just simply arent ready to put a ring on its finger.
