I like 240's but the only nice ones around are stock automatic models because every manual model out there has been trashed, poorly modified, and neglected. I don't know why 240 owner's take such bad care of their cars...

Well I detail cars for a living and I think I have an answer. People treat brand new cars like straight Shit no matter the value. With the 240sx being such cheap sports cars in their day, a lot of lower class people drove the hell out of them and couldn't maintain them properly.

Why would you try to please a "hater", or anyone other than yourself for that matter? Krappy has a badass 240 and I doubt anyone has told him he wasted his money....
From a pure financial perspective any money spent on cars other than maintenance is a waste but we do what we do because we don't give a fuck what others think.
i'm sayin people hate on 240s regardless of what they do with them. Stock, modded, body kit, no body kit, fast, slow, clean, beater.. doesnt matter. The people that dislike 240s will always dislike 240s.
As for me, I don't "hate" on these cars. They just aren't appealing to me. I don't say they're shitty or unreliable or anything. Just don't see the "coolness" factor, is all. Later, QD.

well, the 240sx shares characteristics with some of the most successful and celebrated cars ever made... skyline, bmw, foxbody ect.... the cars you DO like... share characteristics with any generic sedan you could find at any used car lot around the world for less than 5k. There's not a decisive body line on the 200sx, you could slap a geo badge on it and nobody would notice. And thats just judging the cars on appearance.... completely leaving out that the 240sx/silvia is the little brother to a car japanese people affectionately named "Godzilla"
i understand taste is a matter of opinion but i honestly cant think of a fathomable excuse why anyone would like this vehicle and not anything else nissan makes... but thats me.
