    That FC is sick.
And nice find on the MR2! Just need a '93 lip now lol.

    Like this (Berk Technology):

Those FN01R-Cs are the boss too. That's the route I'm planning on going with mine.

Here's another '93 lip; one of my favorite MR2 pics (guy's name is Michel on MR2OC):

    And yes that's the Nordshleife.

The bigger light grey connector goes to the I/C fan (sidemount), darker one goes to the O2 sensor, and the small light grey one goes to the A/C compressor. Don't know if you have any of those though haha.

I've heard that during the first few years of production, the red MR2s had no clearcoat from the factory.

The 6-puck clutch is almost definitely an ACT if the PO didn't tell you. Very popular choice, and rightly so.

You're right about the 880cc injectors being too much for an S-AFC with stock ECU. To be making enough power to need 880s, a tubular manifold, and a TMIC, he would have needed to go standalone a long time ago. Don't know how the PO got away with that. I'm sure you can get a lot more power and tq from that setup with a standalone. And chances are you can find a good used AEM EMS or Hydra Nemesis on MR2OC for cheap. Very active for-sale forum on there.

The trunk scoop is not that effective at anything other than keeping rain out, so you're probably getting less airflow than with the stock sidemount. Probably still better though because of the core's increased surface area. If it's not your DD, you may want to take that off. Air flows over the MR2's roof and kinda tumbles over onto the wing, instead of sliding cleanly over the trunk lid. So not much flow into that small scoop. Looks cool though! lol

You're right about 91s not coming with LSD. But 93+ did. You can find a 93+ transaxle with LSD on MR2OC or RPMGarage.com for not a ton (relatively) or you can still buy a new one for ~$2100. Aftermarket LSDs are available too. Clutch-types seem to be the most popular choice (the stock one is a viscous coupling).

I can probably ID the coilovers for you if you can post up a pic. There are only like a dozen made for the SW20.

Be glad you already have the poly bushings installed! They're great, but they're very time-consuming and sometimes difficult to install.

Welcome to the addiction! Make sure you join MR2OC. Definitely an indespensable resource for the MR2 owner. Check out the Southeast regional forum; we have meets and/or mountain runs every couple of months. My name's Bowenaero over there too, so hit me up!

Thanks for the info! Ill join up there too. Im on mr2.com but its not very active. I LOVE the car and havnt even driven it yet! Thats interesting on the red 91s clear coat. Mine has been repainted a while back and thats probably why.

The coilovers are JICs i think? They are adjustable on the bottom of the shock.

I was about to order some megasquirt stuff simply because I couldnt find any standalone stuff for a decent price.

    Thanks again for the info!

Yeah, mr2.com doesn't really hold a candle to mr2oc in terms of maturity, knowledge base, etc. They are still debating stuff that has been settled on mr2oc years ago lol.

If your coilovers are JIC FLTA2's, then they're some of the best, but those are rare and expensive. So my guess is you have regular JICs, which are still good, but not on the same level.

Oh and about the 5S-FE, I'm 90% sure that is a DOHC engine. And it's basically a Camry engine, so I wouldn't waste your time on performance there (whoever was wondering about that). It has the FE head, which is the economy head. The GE is the sport head (as in 3S-GE, 3S-GTE, or 2JZ-GTE, with the T standing for turbo). So anyway, most everyone who wants any kind of power in an SW20 opts for a turbo swap. They just drop in a 3S-GTE. It's just too complicated to turbocharge a 5S-FE to be worth it, in my (and the majority's) opinion. However, some high horsepower builds use the 5S crank and block to make a stroker out of their 3S-GTE, in a sense making a "5S-GTE". Makes for some great low-end torque.

You mean what engine management system or how to tune? Read these primers like 5 times lol, specifically the Power Primer and the 3S-GTE Engine Management article:

    http://mrcontrols.com/primers/primers.htm

After all these years, the MRControls/Ricky B 3S-GTE Power Primer is still considered the authority on modifying an MR2 Turbo. The author, Ricky B, has tuned more MR2s than anyone else I think. VERY experienced in the tuning world and with MR2s specifically.
