For the same reason you modded your automatic hatch. Why would YOU do it? From the pics, that appears to be a JDM SIR front lip which looks excellent on the "EG" hatch. Clean and subtle.

The front lip is the WING WEST RS LIP. I like it better than any other lip for eg. I didnt want a "type R" or "mugen" STYLE lip. ya know what I mean.
