Had a fun weekend up at the track for the first SCCA event at RA for 2010. You all may not like this though as these cars are stupid crap cars built for certain classes.

I drove my girlfriends SE-R in the PDX today and had some fun so pics of that too, it was REALLY slippery out there especially on shitty tires I looped it in 7 and was oversteering pretty bad everywhere. It just felt nasty. I had an absolute blast though as I always do when I get seat time.

You should defiantly look into doing PDX, it's $100 for 40 minutes of seat time and that may not sound like a lot but $100 for 40 minutes and at Road Atlanta is a deal.

The VR4 was new to me I've never seen it there, I'm guessing the driver was new or the car was or something he wasn't pushing it hard at all, still a monster to look at though.

Yea that would be well worth it. Hopefully I'll be able to over the summer, I can't right now anyway. The car's leaking all kinds of shit and I would imagine they won't let you on a track like that.

Yeah you have to pass a basic tech inspection but nothing major, they check for leaks, battery tie down, tires in good shape, the usual things you would expect. You just need that and a legal helmet then you're good to go. (They allow both M2000 and Snell SA2000 or better for PDX)

Well shit thanks for the info. Now I need to do it. I definitely will have the time/funds when I'm out of school for the summer. So if you see an all white DSM blown the fuck up in the middle of the track this summer holla at me lol.

Sometime in May, I think towards the end. There's a SRF Reunion type deal next month but it will just be SRF cars running. No PDX either.

EVERYONE MAY 22-23 is the next event. I looked it up.

Tickets are $30 for a two day pass $15 if you're an SCCA member, $20 for a one day pass, and $5 to park. If you're running obviously your entry fee is your ticket in, just PM me anyone interested when the time is near I have a small guest list I can put some people on if you're not too much of a dick on here. lol

May 22nd, wow, the day after my birthday. I may convince the wife to let me come out that weekend for a PDX (money is tight right now, thought about missing the AutoX this weekend

) . But man, that would be awesome, been like 2 years since I was on RA. Just need to figure out which car to bring. I may hit you up in the near future.
