With that knowledge, now maybe the all plastic interior that just snaps in place and the lack of luxury parts will make sense. It was all to keep this car as light as possible. The first generation neon outranked every other car in its class as far as performance. This car started off with contingency programs in racing. This car was winning trophies in damn near every race out back then.
I speak from experience on the last part as I won championships in 1999-2000 in my 1996 neon.
It's cool to throw your opinion around about how it looks, but to knock something that you may not know, doesn't look good on your part. I'm not trying to bash on you, just educate you fellas.
