For me, it would have to be a white or seal gray 996 turbo. There's something about those cars. White is hard to find, so if I find one, I might pull the trigger without even thinking. Gotta hate impulse buys.

So, what car do you have a metaphorical hard-on for?

I would have said 993 turbo, but $75k for 14 year old car just wouldn't be feasible for me.

Btw, 993 is the best body style in the 911 series, imo.

Yeah I won't afford a turbo lol, I do agree 993 is the best style for a 911, I love them and grew up around the 911-GT2 993's.

Nice! Did you Dad collect and / or track? Sadly, nobody in my family was ever into cars.

lol, yeah. I got tired of having two doors when I had my G37S. I was going to get an M5, but I didn't want to pony up the money at the time. I settled for the E55. However, if they would have been the same price, I probably would have went with the M5, not going to lie.

I have had a G35, 2007 C6 auto Vette, and 2009 C6 6spd Vette. It is just tiring having coupes and I want a big car. I still want a stick though, which is making the search hard for a M5. I've thought about E55 and RS6 but I just love the M5.

Yeah, the E55 and RS6 are autos.

But! The M5 has the SMG, and it was offered as a 6speed manual in '07 or '08, can't remember. Sadly, they used the same manual transmission out of the other 5 series cars, and it sucks. Get an M5, you HAVE to.

If I had a job, I would buy a 300zx 2+2 and do a vh45de swap and do either a turbo or twin turbo setup with BBS LM's, Tein flex coilovers, brembo brakes, six piston calipers in the front four piston in the back, black interior, nismo short shifter, Folding side mirrors, Clear corner custom headlights with TSX low and high beams. Other nice goodies. Realistically speaking.

Shits real out here. You betta keep a strap and learn somethin'

Porsche 951, it will be my next project car. Whats not to like, cheap as hell and easy to mod. Makes you wonder why everyone drives a 240 or Civic.

Have you ever owned a 944 or 951? There cheap as hell, I don't know anyone who paid over $6k for one. Who buys OEM clutches, when you can get SPEC, CM or any other number for 1/2 the price.

Yeah, they really aren't that cheap to upkeep. They are reliable and fairly easy to work on compared to say a 911, but replacement parts are up there. I didn't mean from the factory this was a "Stock" which I meant by OEM replacement from Autozone.

I loved it, but mine was an auto and became boring. The fit and finish was superb! Also, all of the neato electronics were really advanced...i.e. adaptive cruise, voice activation, navigation, adaptive headlights, etc. The only problem I had with mine was the navigation freaked out once. Just went crazy! As soon as I turned the car off, it was normal again. I'll PM you some more details.

My goal is to have all of my debt paid off (besides a couple of student loans) sometime in 2010, then at the beginning of 2011 I should have one of these as a daily

and this as a garage queen

    (kinda backwards isn't it )

Then in 5 years from now, once I'm stable in an Engineering firm and my wife receives her ph.d from Duke, I plan on purchasing one of these.

or this if we have kids LOL

And with the TT Kit it will still be a turd, at least they look nice.

If I don't get a M5 I'm going against my idea of a 4-door and getting a 2010 Corvette GS, launch control, dry oil sump, z06 body, and triple syncro Tremec tranny. Yes please and thank you.

Ohh P.S. The only manly BMWs have rainbows on them.

Smart, very smart. You should run some 50/50 methanol while you're at it! It you'll gain approximately 30wtq!
