Actually its the other way around, snap oversteer was really bad pre 91, Toyota modified the suspension to accomidate, which is why the 91 suspensions was so sought after in the 90's. But it is still a Mid-rear car, so its gonna have more snap oversteer than any other config.

There was no '90 model sold in the US. The Mk1s are much easier to drive. '91-'92 had the "evil" suspension, which was improved from '93 on.
