Ya that shits a piece of junk. Rattles and clunks all down the road
All I'm saying is that this meet is already public knowledge, as in most ppl here know about it. So with that understood posting pics of this meet isn't a big deal to me since most people already know about it. And if ricers come and mess it up, is it really the end of the world. Worst thing thqat would happen is that the meet would get moved. It's not like those car enthusiasts would stop coming out just because of a few ricers. Our passion for cars is deeper than that. When it comes down to it we are just arguing because we have nothing better to do...![]()
hats the big deal cars and coffee has and never has been a secret.... i dont understand ur logic sm! all across the internet u can find pics of this event from other states . and only on IA people complain!
AMAZING!
If this meet was not have been posted on here I would have never known about it and therefore I wouldn't have brought the nova there. Not everyone on this site is a ricer, I think there are a lot of cars on this site that would be respected there. I also agree with charlie that 830 am is to early for all the morons any ways.
This event has been going on for decades in Europe then it made it to the US west coast and eventually migrated east here. The logic is it should have never been posted on a forum where few people have vehicles to attend. Most of those that do are on other websites that advertise it.
If you don't know about it then how on earth can you google for it?! You can't search for something that you don't know exists lol!
For as many high-end cars I am around and shoot I didn't know about the meet until a few months ago...then didn't know where it was until I searched for it. If I hadn't seen the photos on FB I wouldn't have even known the meet was going on at all. Then a month or two later the photos started popping up here with everyone asking where it was. It should have never been posted here and nobody should ever post photos of a meet showing a vehicles license plate.
I just cannot follow where you are trying to go with this. There has been what, a couple cars that you dont approve of? It would be completely different if you drove one of those high end cars, but you dont. And frankly the old guys at the meet rice out in their high end cars more then people do at normal "import" meets. Especially the old guys in their m5's. But the thing is alot of people want to see these cars get on it. It just seems that you are being a little dramatic about pictures of these meets being posted when every single person can attend if they chose too.
Just mine and a few others![]()
HF
haha im gonna post about this meet on craigslist...then we gonna get all the black folks and rapists goin to the meets.... yeah thats what im gonna do. Oh man, we wouldnt want that now would we.
Yall need to shut the fuck up complaining about posting this meet pics or about the meet in general. Get a life.
 It's not the cars, it's the people. The people driving through blasting their stereo, the white trash families with kids they don't have control of touching everything that's shiny, the people with bags and purses that have probably never owned a decent car and don't realize they're scratching the shit out of cars as they walk by them. I've seen it all, does that mean they're from IA? No. Is IA going to contribute positively to the event? Highly unlikely.
What part of the meaning "public knowledge don't you understand"? I've known about his meet for more than a year, have gone a few times, and have never seen any of these ricers you speak of.
You shouldn't assume everyone here is a ricer and has that mentaility. There are several members here who have very nice cars and act mature. And honestly, the more you bump this thread is another chance for one of the IA ricers to see the thread. Just sayin..I personally could care less if ppl here know about it. They should, why not? The actions of a few ricers here and there doesn't speak for the majority of us car enthusiasts on the site. And just because you may see a ricer, doesn't mean he/she is an IA member or heard about the meet through IA.

Who are you to speak for the majority of IA? lolol! I've been to hundreds of [IA based] meets and I will safely bet this event is over the maturity level of most of IA's members. Does it mean they shouldn't go? No, simply means it shouldn't be publicized on here in any way what so ever. I've been attending high end exotic and classic car meets since I could walk. IA as a whole has nothing positive to contribute to it, for those members that do will find out about it elsewhere.
This thread is awesome.
I agree with Jason.
*Flame suit on*
Shit, when I go I park my POS all the way on the other side of the outlet.
Just wait until the guy with the yellow whatever with all the fucking speakers finds out about this meet...
i will kinda agree with the out of control kids comment but what would make them white trash? if your refering to the "non rich" peoples kids then your wrong. normally the out of control kids i see at show's are the little rich kids that the parents dont care if they run up and sit on a car. i know i just went in another direction with this but the "white trash" shit is dumb. is there a "black trash" or "mexican trash"? kids are kids and the parent no matter what color or what ever should control them no matter what. i wanted to go to this just to take pictures but my halloween party ran alittle later than i wanted. maybe next month.
This thread has gotten out of hand. Please just enjoy the pictures for what they are and take your arguments to PM's. I have been posting pictures from this meet for a year, and go to just about every one. There was never a lot of trash in attendance, and it still seems that way. Occasionally you get the one or two "poorly modified" cars who park among the main crowd, but it seems like all the "rice" that shows usually park far away in a separate lot to avoid taking away from the gathering of exotics and sports cars.
I'm not discriminating one bit. I don't care if they are on welfare or have $millions of liquid assets available. If they have kids climbing on other peoples cars they are trash, plain and simple, the two kids I'm referring to happen to be white. I'm sorry "white trash" offends anyone lol!
wow, the amount of vaginal juices seeping from this thread is outrageous! and I have yet to see anyone's kids there climbing on top of any cars or touching everything "shiny" hell 2 months ago that chrome AC cobra replica came out there and still left out of the parking lot with not a fingerprint on it. Also i'd be willing to bet that the owners of those m5's are 10x more rice than anyone on this site, except for Alex's ricer ass ofcourse!
i see what your saying and agree that if you bring your kids, they need to know that they are not to touch anything. i dont think there trash but a better name would be scared. thats whats wrong with kids these days. parents are scared to decipline there kids. i have a nine year old daughter and i am not scared one bit to bust her ass for doing wrong. shit i got my ass whipped when i was a kid. theres a difference between abuse and decipline. i was kinda in a pissy mood last night and posted that so sorry for the rant.
Do you think moderately wealthy people are that concerned about the cars? Most will have more than sufficient insurance to cover them! It's personal and privacy issues: it's them and their family. Not everyone goes to a car gathering to be photographed with their car and have their identity and license plate posted all over the internet. I can not conceive how anyone can find this acceptable.
Not so hypothetical situation. Photos of an exotic or collectible car is posted with the license plate visible, maybe the owner is visible in it as well. An ex-business partner gone sour, stalker, or kidnapper runs the plate on any of the numerous websites that will give the owners name and address for a fee. Other than California anyone can get information from the DMV as well simply by filling out a form, or you can file a hit-and-run on a particular license plate and for a few bucks have a police report that will most likely contain the "suspects" information. The easiest is online though. Now that someone has the owners information they plan a kidnapping of the owners wife or child, or worse. Why do you think reality shows blur license plates? People have been murdered using DMV information, specifically a young actress in California in 1989. Television producers do not want that liability, and neither do photographers. Imagine the name of the specific website photos were posted on coming up in trial for the death of someone? Who wants to live with that? Is it a likely situation? No. Has it happened before? Yes.
What's stops someone from just going to the meet after they see pictures of it and write down or take photos of the plates themselves? Nothing. What stops someone from staking out a high-end establishment and stalking someone? Nothing. But why provide the entire world someone else's information without their knowledge or approval?
