all good man and appreciate it. everyone seemed to kinda have there own little group which is expected on a first mtn run like that as im sure if the exact same group went again we would all be better in conversation with one another especially after these post here lately lol! but yeah after the run we ALL chilled in the parking lot for like 45mins waiting on a neon so thought everyone got along great

wheres the freakin skymax hahah thats what brought us all closer lol!!!

+1 for being correct. I was the second white s2k in line and the only time I remember not seeing miatas, was when Mark basically stopped in the middle of the road to get a more "spirited" run in. In his words "I wanted to have some fun myself, ya know" lol As for round 2... I'M IN!

What suspension setup? Springs with stock shocks? Stock sway bars?

Not stock dampeners, weird. Tires too big?

megan coilovers and dumped. spoon xbrace and spoon strut tower bar.

nah, the offset with my le28n volks are perfect for the s2000 as i have wrecked that fender bf so its always been a little off in comparison to the passenger side although they are at the same height. wheel well liner is gone do to it being rubbbed out from the tires so the tread got caught on the "metal tab extension holes" which yanked the fender out and shredded the outside of my tire tread and caused me to go completely side ways through a sharp s turn but rolled it and tightened the damper up a few clicks and was right back on it

Bingo. Pointless to be dumped on a car if you want to handle: the suspension is working double-time against itself and as you know it's a big mess when a tire binds up with the fender.

People tend to take turns harder in one direction than the other too so that may be part of the issue, plus you have the weight of the driver on that side. Those Megans definitely got a work out!

It's common, could be your conscious of oncoming cars.

Personally I'm leery of down hill left hand turns because I had a front wheel lock up once sending me off...oops!! Late braking is fine if you still leave enough room to throttle out of a skid or recover from understeer. Eleven years later not even close to the slightest incident up there and I never run anti-lock brakes.

Uphill is far more fun anyways. I love pushing a car with g-forces forcing your passengers head down like a roller coaster vs. down hill letting momentum take over...at least in a RWD you usually end up drifting downhill and powersliding up hill though.

I can't recall what the road name was but I enjoyed the road we took right after the cookout. I believe it was 180? The road seemed alot tighter and seemed like more fun to me. Maybe that was because I was called out for being a Double Yellow earlier and I was trying to prove myself that I could keep off the double yellow's!

Most likely Hwy. 180 Wolf Pen Gap Rd. to Hwy. 60 at Dale's (gas station) and the T.W.O. The hair pen is much better going that direction but the center section is more fun going the opposite direction leading up to the summit.

All I'm gonna say is that after doing this mountain run, I find the urge to take normal turns faster than I normally do...
