Very nice Chad. I don't know what you're talking about "bad at panning"???? Those are some excellent pics. Great job.

BTW, you damn near took my picture, but you didn't know I was there????? (although you can't see me in the pic, I was sitting down right behind the Supra)

the d40 doesnt have a shutter release does it? you need to go ahead and spend the bite the bullet and get a camera that doesnt have to have AF-S lens to autofocus, you can buy a d50 body kow for like 350 bucks! or get a d80 for like a 100 bucks more.

Shutter release.... Yea i was lookin into the D90 but i really dont see the need for it.. So the D80 will do the damn trick.. Probably get one early next year if they are still available NEW..

im sorry i meant to say mirror lock-up. got dust on my sensor sunday when switching lens but i just went back to the car hit the mirror lock-up and blew the dust particles out. from what i have seen the difference in the d50 and d80 isnt much, atleast not worthy of an upgrade.

yea the D40 has the mirror lock-up option.. tried that already.. whatever is on my sensor is stuck, i need to take it somewhere to get it cleaned.. For you, the difference in the D50 and D80 isnt worth the upgrade but the D80 is a substantial enuff upgrade from the sorry D40
