Thread: why didn't Colin Chapman think of this? Make it lighter? ....lose the passenger.

    Colin Chapman did think of that when he made a special one seater Lotus Eleven cor club racing. Hade the coventry climax motor and looked like an actual car.

    I know that but that car actually looked like a car. This one looks like a taller Kart.

    As a sports car it still had to have a spot for seat #2


    is the one your are talking about a different 11?

    Yep, almost bought a '56 Eleven 2 seater before I picked up the 911.
