ok nissantun3r, just to clarify some things....
    1. the nissan maxima was not in the same class with the accord and camry in your generation, that was the altima.
    2. the maxima was classed with the avalon. standard 6 cyl. moderate luxury vehicles. Toyota got out of the real sporty scene a long time ago, so arguing about sportability between the avalon and maxima makes no sense. your generation, however, was pretty cool with the 6-speed SE model.
    3. no, you didn't buy a FWD honda or something. you bought a heavy FWD nissan.

just thought i'd clear up some things... kinda bothered me.

oh, and the toyota avalon not only beat the maxima in reliability back in 2002, it completely owns the maxima in todays day and age. toyota FTMFW

The v-6 camry, v-6 accord, and maxima's could very understandably be put in the same class, they're all 4 door economy sedans, around the same price, and offer about the same things. And a maxima is def better than an avalon. And my car is hardly what I'd call heavy for a sedan weighing in at about 3100lbs. A 2000 v-6 accord weighs 100lbs more than my 2000 max, and has less hp. And my car is extremly reliable, the vq series engines have stayed on the top 10 list for best engines since it's inception noob. It's funny how many people are nissan hater's on here. Just thought I'd clear some things up.

I'm a former Z owner. So calling me a Nissan Hater is like calling Mr. Kidd a Honda hater.

i was actually referring to the marketablity of the models of cars. yes, the v-6 camry and v-6 accord can be compared to the maxima, but it's all about marketability. as for the reliability, i never said your car wasn't. i am a mechanic and have worked on my fair share of maxima's. made me miss working at toyota, so i went back. i speak from experience, so calling me a noob at my own game is kind of weakly spoken.
as for me being a nissan hater, i do beleive i complimented your car in my last post, so i wasn't being a nissan hater, i was being a nissantun3r hater.

edit: by the way, when i say reliability, i dont beleive the motor is the only thing envolved.

You know what, my maxima is the first car I've messed with, and I bought it in 08/07. I may be new to the tuning scene, and maybe I am a noob. But I am an opinionated person, and I just have to stick up for what I like, despite what anyone else thinks about me, my, or the GT-R. Anyway it's been fun people, I'm glad I made so many friends!

the fact of the matter is an integra was just another fwd while the mx5 was the second coming of the Lotus Elan.

my only point to prove was that arguing with people about their opinions is useless. opnions are like assholes, everyones got one. good luck with the maxima.
