Default A small but very straight upgrade to the CVCC...

Got a set of Deluxe gauges several months ago and finally got around to putting these in. You can see the changes. My car didn't come with a tach. What the deluxe set up does is gives me a tach where the FUEL/TEMP gauge sits. I ad to take apart the cluster and remove the FUEL/TEMP gauges and screw in the tach and hook it up. Then the separate pod for separate FUEL and TEMP gauges gets screwed in right where you see it. Luckily, they made cars "plug-n-play" back then as well. The dash is still a wreck as I just got it in and haven't the material to put the dash back right. I just needed/wanted to get these gauges installed.

Before and after pics to follow. I'll get better ones in the daylight as the flash messed these up. Later, QD.

What's next? It's in the mail on its way here.

    Only one hint:

It's actually along the lines as one of my pet peeve "mod" some folks are doing these days.

I doubt Rotas come in that lug pattern, and whatnot.

Oh also, when you put on the roof rack are you going to use it or is it just there for looks . Just wondering

Very few wheels came in that lug pattern and they haven't made wheels in that lug pattern since you could buy those cars new . Anything 4x120 nowadays has to be custom drilled. Better to convert it to 4x100 in my opinion because if you bend a wheel it will be easier to get a replacement, and 4x100 has better brakes too.

If you or Baby J want another set of those gauges I have one full set and also an extra fuel/temp pod

The popular thing to do is to do the 4x100 conversion. I'm not doing it.

This is a 79 Civic. Not a 95 and up, lolol. I won't put that crap in my car. If I were to put a wood wheel in, it would be the factory wood one.

As stated before, my car is not to be made into a perfromance car. It is going to be stock. Only thing not stock will be the ride height. (And the engine.) So the lug conversion is out. I'm keeping my factory 12s until a set of period 13" wheels comes up. And they do. I also don't are about upgraded or bigger brakes as I don't think I need much more than foot stopping power on a car with less than 80 hp, lolol.

Thanks everyone for the compliments. Later, QD.

Well first off i think wood steering wheels in newer cars like 90's civics just looks odd. But considering nardi has been around for over 50 years in the racing industry, also providing parts for factory automobiles, and having their steering wheels installed on CLASSIC porsches, ferrari's, alfas, etc................Id say they're far from "crap"
