Yep, spot on. They call it European Delivery. You can go to any european union country and stay over with the car for up to 6 months. They pay for insurance for up to 2 weeks and give you temporary registration (hence my plates, got one in my house as a souvenir as a matter of fact). It's usually cheaper to buy the car this way. Simply put, you are adding to production and eliminating some overhead so the "ED" invoice price is several grand cheaper than the US invoice price and there's no dealer trying to sell a hot car for as close to MSRP as possible because they only get allotted X.
