No, praise the police for actually being there and taking care of those idiots.
Although the boots I think were a bit drastic...

Aren't there real crimes they should be fighting instead of guys hanging out and showing off cars?
Seriuosly, they go way overboard with every kind of car violation they can.
Your tax dollars are paying for Jumbo and Bob to eat donuts and ticket car people instead of fighting real crime.

That lower lot is NOT owned by The Varsity. Have you ever been booted or ticketed while parked under the garage or up top? Not that I am aware of. That is why I always park there, I don't need to deal with parking on someones private parking lot.
If you commit a crime, regardless of what it is, you do run the risk of getting in trouble for it. While I agree speeding tickets are lame they do servce a purpose, that money goes to the state government and pays my Fiancee's salary(2nd grade teacher) and healthcare.
I never really understand the total hatred for the police. It is the same thing when you see post "This stupid pig pulled me over". Guy was speeding and got busted for possesion... Officer was doing his job.

Yes, I did see the police presence there as I was there myself.Originally Posted by TheGodfather
Of course there are other crimes out there that they could be patroling etc. However didn't you notice that the ones actually showing their cars and talking were not bothered by the police? Instead it was the ones that were ruining the event for other people.
Ex: White truck doing the burn out around people and other cars. If that truck had ****ed up and hit YOUR car or yourself as an individual and the police weren't present, I have a funny feeling you'd be pissed that they WEREN'T there to help you and you'd be bitching that they should have been patroling at these events.
I admit they do most of the times take it overboard when giving people tickets for little bull**** on their cars, but blame the county/state government for passing laws that they must abide by to keep their job. Chances are, if you weren't driving like a ****tard you won't be bothered and if you know how to talk to people with respect, you can get out of those tickets a majority of the time.
Let's stop the stereotypical bull**** concerning police and how horrible they are when it comes to patroling these events.
There are plenty of horrible cops as with everything else in life. However, the ones at the Varsity were just fine and for the most part very nice.
Keep in mind that these people see things we would never see-for instance reporting to calls on the road that involved a teenager's death or severe accidents. Imagine what goes on in their head when they see that ****...I'm sure they obtain an entire new outlook on life and while going 120+ on the highway isn't stupid to some of us, their argument is valid considering they've seen the aftermath.
My tax dollars are also paying for poor, ignorant mother****ers that won't do anything to better themselves while staying at home drinking alcohol and selling drugs (how stereotypical right?). But, you can't catch them all.
I'd must rather see my tax dollars go towards police arresting ignorant poeple such as yourself that have no respect for the law. So what if they have a donut or 20 for that matter, as long as they keep me and the events I attend safe, then it's money well spent.
You seem like the typical person to be ungrateful about the people who help you keep you safe.
Have more respect for other people's safety as well as your own.
As far as them booting cars, well that might have been a bit out of hand, but people were not parked where they were supposed to be.
