That's amazing. If it didn't have a whale tail and cage it would be perfect.

i want to agree with you......but

For the time and money Take2 was given to make Forza 2, they came out with a top notch product. Here's some point on the driving physics......

1.Being able to do a standing burnout
    2.Lock the brakes
    3. physics are better than GT

Never cared about damage in racing games sooooo whatever.

I really hope the Gran Turismo team is playing Forza 2 and GTR2 cause they could learn alot.

I don't want to go into all the details i want but is pretty staggering over gt4 and even GT HD and GT5 Prologue i've played.

The physics are NOT better, Forza is like an arcade game, Road Atlanta is horribly designed, the cars don't handle right, etc. You can do a standng burnout on GT, it might not smoke like hell or leave a mark but you can, you can't lock brakes up, BUT the physics especially weight distribution on GT is unmatched by Forza.

Arcade game? LOL. I disagree. You can guys can argue all you want, but at the end of the day it comes down to which game YOU like. In my opinion, Forza has the best feel and control of any game out there. Forza's the only driving game I've ever played that where every car really feels and handles like it should. I dislike GT because from every GT game i've played, a Supra and (insert car here) feel like the same car -- unless it's not a rwd car.

edit: and i've driven on Road Atlanta... I thought the track in-game is pretty accurate. Only think i think needs work is the drifting lollypop.... seems a little tight.

No you cant do a standing burnout.... you have to hit a wall and let the wheel keep spinning..... it seems to me if you try to hold the brake and gas at the same time, the car will just stall out. One of the reasons is the PS2 controller. A button is worst than a trigger like on a xbox360. I have a logitech force feedback but it broke.....so i have yet to try it.

When Gran Turismo 5 Prolugue is actually released i'll go and get the Logitech G25 wheel to try on it.

Here's a good demo of the Clutch work and different shifting tecxhniques with the G25 wheel on GT5.....

G25 Advanced Shift technique Demo: Gran Turismo 5 Pro

I have always like the GT sereies over any other series including Forza but Forza has better physics right now. That's all there is to it.

And like you mentioned earlier.....what's the deal with a car drifting at 120mph in GT and all it creates is a little puff cloud of smoke and no tire marks?

No hit the gas, then brake, the car stops tires keep spinning.

I ave driven Road Atlanta too many times, it is fairly fake.

But whatever you like you like

They had a booth a Petit with it and a steering wheel, I walked out quite sad, it was my first time playing the game, def. not what I expected from all the hype.

i have forza2 and play it 24/7. when i went to petit and went in the booth for the game, i was EXTREMELY sad. If you ask me, that booth pushed people away from the game
