That rear window popped out makes it look just like a wagon. I actually think it would look bad as hail. Later, QD.

Heh... in rebuttle to the always expected sarcasm, I'm curious. Tim made a post about how heated the police have been this month on the dragon. Video's capturing some 10 - 15 cars and bikes patrolling and posting on the route. So I'm suprised to see some of us up there. And from the way the suspension is working on some of the pics, you guys were going at pretty good speeds.

So how WERE the cops? As in were there alot? none? What was their demeanor? Handing out tickets? Or just lax?

Nice pictures. Hope you got at least one in poster size

Great photos! I miss my dad's 325 sedan. That was quite a fun car to drive.

I rolled in on Saturday night and I didnt see one cop one the dragon around 9pm. We rode through the Dragon at about 930am on Sunday morning and we only saw one cop on the way through but he was off his bike talking to another biker as we drove by, he was running radar.
On the way back towards the camp ground there were cops everywhere *this was just one hour later* and not to mention we got stuck behind the RV that was in that last pic, so it was a no go on the fun on the way back towards the campground.
So I had to turn around and go back because I had already packed all my stuff and when I turned around I pulled out behind two bike cops and one crown victoria. So i was like fuck this is going to be boring, but since there are so many turns on the tail i just laid off and when the cop would go around the corner a few corners up i would jump up to twice the speed limit and as soon as i saw his back end i would slow back down......i kinda liked being behind him bc it was nice to know exactly where he was, after me flying around corners then lay way off for like 7 miles the cop got smart and pulled over and got behind the guy with the roof rack (David)......and yea his car was sexy as hell and I would drive it too.
My car was the first car, with the passenger with the gloves, if you look close enough you can see the mask too in the third pic.
Thanks for all the positive feed back
    Jeff

Yea...the e30 wagons were proper wagons, not 3-door hatches.

Good call on the Fox though! Haha...very true.

Nice... I was there last year with my 8thCivic.com forum and had a blast. The switchbacks and sharp corners are crazy. And the constant elevation changes are very noticable. Ears popping and everything. Might go again this Sept. 8-10... but don't know yet, NO CAR!!!

Anyhow, great pics. Here are mine... @ Fontana Dam.

    Best answer of the day.

Having lived at the end of the dragon for a couple years, there are usually no cops up there at night. Very few cars up there as well. The only thing you have to contend with up there at night is the wildlife and the crazy rednecks that party up there. When SEDA had our event up there, we encountered truck loads full of them, doing burnouts in the middle of the road and weilding chainsaws. They would fire them up in the middle of the night and rev em up then shut em down. Weirdness.

Around 9:30 or 10:00 the cops will descend on the place and stay there till around 5:00 or so, then start thinning out. The best time to go there is in the early part of winter. November or so. That's when we did our high speed runs and when most people run it for times to try and beat the record. 8 min 53 seconds in a car and 8 mins 47 seconds on a bike last time I kept up with it. Same guy holds both. The run is from the bridge on the tennessee side to the state line. 10.6 miles I think it is.

Mmmm...i've been wanting a GPS data logger to run it with: http://www.trackmateracing.com/ End result would be a 3D model of the run with speed and braking shown And of course official recorded times

I prefer night runs anyways: it's much more calm, no traffic, and with a relatively loud car you don't have to worry about animals...it's normally only you and the sound of your exhaust echoing off the rock walls

You can push it alot harder up hill, nothing beats the g-forces of an up hill banked turn pushing your passengers head down at the floor like a roller coaster

Wow. Because some little life long peon came aboard and interjected his form of jealousy in me, I think I'll stop being a smart ass.

Or maybe not. Lolol @ you. Funny how even the OP saw that as a joke and then the little bitches come flying out like a swarm of termites trying to eat away at me and I just exterminated your trick ass, lolol. Dummy.

You must have thought you got me. Because out of all the members of IA, you and the other 4 people that agree with you don't count. So it's not like a person of your stature has any real meaning around here. Seriously, did you think that was the worst thing I've ever heard? Was that a "put down?" Who the fuck cares what you think? Later, QD.

I don't know if anyone gives a fuck what I think, nor do I care whether they do or not...fact remains, you make smart ass, dick comments on ALOT of threads on this site and I was just stating, it's very annoying.

Stature on an online public forum means nothing to me, but the fact that you actually bring it up as part of an argument is sad, dude. Get out some more, it might do you some good. Later, CJ.

Again, for you to say anything about me is moot. You saying something to me is like a Down's Syndrome person trying to talk sense into Einstein. It just sails way beneath my feet.
