Nothing special just a base 05 auto RSX. Got the 10k hid from Nitro and install was a breeze (EXCEPT for the fact that on RSXs you have to remove the bumper to change bulbs lol and take out headlights). PICS \/

preeshiate the comments...get brett can you quote me a price to repaint my car (no color change) just repaint. Everything matching no dark spots and light spots in paint...pretty much oem. I need to get rid of the darker bumper and the fact that my bumper looks like shattered glass.

I didn't get 10k for functionality lol I mean its still a hell of a lot brighter than stock but i likey the blue.
Yes and glare for the mother fucking LOSE.
I just figured out my fiancees car has projectors (even though I cant steal them) I am going to get her 6000k's so she can see better in the rain and such.
And yes I am in the process of getting some things together to do projectors on the RSXhehe

i think you might have to make a custom housing or something. those HID's have no cut-off line whatsoever.![]()

Not to rain on your parade, but 10,000K is too impractical. You have defeated the purpose of HID (created the whitest and cleanest lights) and just turned your lights blue. After passing a point, everything just becomes a downgrade in visibility. The only way to really do HID aftermarket on reflectors is to retrofit to projectors. Right now, you are blinding everyone and suffering with downgraded visibility.

like I mentioned in a previous post. I can see better and it feels better on my eyes. My lights are not pointed upward at all...in fact I pointed them down a little. Yes I will be getting retrofit and I got 10k for the blue honestly. I am going to get my wife the 6ks. Thanks for all the constructive criticism.

They look fine to me
everyone always talks about retrofiting shit.. but its not cheap. And to me its a waste, i cant see myself spending 500$+ on some lights.
I mean it would be nice to have a cutoff, but a year or so ago hids were nice, than once people start retrofiting projectors everyone called hids rice.. BUt i remember a time when projectors were rice... u all just love that word.
true the projectors aactually make them actually do what they are trying to do and give it a purposeful cutoff, but his galare isnt even that bad, mine was much worse..lol

It is an empirical scientific fact that you cannot see as well with those lights being 10,000k HIDs versus your stock lights or 4300k or 6000k HID. The blue light is easier on your eyes, but when it comes down to visiblity, it is limited. Don't lie to yourself. I bet that if you drove to a dark area, you would be flipping your bright lights on in a second to be able to see.
HIDs are not stupid, I have them OEM in my car. There is a reason why aftermarket HID kits are illegal... it just is not the same quality.

LMFAO....... believe me you're long distance visablilty and close up visability is alot better with a HID retrofit, your beam pattern is all fucked up all glared and shit when you use drop in HID kits....the headlight housings are not designed for HIDs so why put HIDs in them? if you want real HIDs suit your car for them and put projectors in them, you get what you pay for....i had a ricey drop in kit in my 240 and now i have HID retros...so dont tell me your drop in kit is better...if its better why spend more money on a retrofit... you just dont know your HIDs....let me add you can do a HID retro for under 300.... projectors are cheap now, not expensive like they were a year ago.... a good set of single beam projectors like TSX and E46 SIngle Beam go for about 100 bucks or less now, and you can find them all day long on ebay or HIDPlanet forums...and bulbs and ballast will run you about 150 also....so for about 250 you can OEM Spec HID Retrofit...which will give you much better results than drop in kits, which makes it seem like you're driving a submarine underwater...OEM FTW....Originally Posted by Nitro

It seems that you should take the time to read Nitro's post instead of just posting to make yourself look smarter than him. Check out the part that you somehow seemed to skipped over:Originally Posted by Krappy

Hopefully you don't skip over that part this time. He stated, matter of factly, that they are better in a projector. Later, QD.
I say to pay 300$ for some projectorsId rather pay the 175$ and spend the rest on other sh** for the car.Hey every 1 does not have daddy and mom to pay for all there shi* like some ppl on here we really do work for ours...Im sure unlike CRAPPY!!!
So i am a hs drop out but hmm 175$ VS 300$ and u get a 10% dif yea ill save that 125$ and buy CRAPPy some common since so he want come in another 1 of NItro's good customer threads and make his self look like a Dumbass!! come on back in here![]()

i saw it, but you need to understand where some folks have there install not up to par others wont make that mistake such as me and my supra but i understand where your coming fromOriginally Posted by TTaz02
Its not about saving money you dumbshit, its about the fact that drop in HID kits without projectors do not have any sort of a light cut off / glare control and blind everyone in oncoming traffic. Its about being responsibleOriginally Posted by stay_up
do you like driving around and having people bright light you all the time?
be smart before you make a post please.
people with stock hids blind me already. I'm still waiting to talk to nitro about my shiot.
LMAO! being a HS dropout shouldnt be an excuse for anything... lol people put more money into their cars because people want to do it the right way.... unlike you i dont like to take short cuts with my cars... if im going to spend money on my car im gonna get something that is worth getting and not me regretting in the long run... and if you were to know me i dont fucking have parents to fucking bum off...so go get some fucking money from your mommy and rice your car up with a full body kit, ricer hids, fucking ugly ass wheels, big APC aluminum wing, underglow it, and a walmart rice can boy... and please dont tell me i have any rice on my car... my fucking car is stock with tein suspension, hid retrofits, wheels, and a jdm wing...so shut the fuck up you stupid fuck...my hid retro with my sharp cutoff will never compare to any of these drop in kits...Originally Posted by stay_up
