I wouldn't be paying $1/watt either. Hell, the new DB Drive Okur series amp I will be running in my demo car is close to 10,000rms @ 18 volts and it is $3,000...which I consider pricey as hell and that is only $0.30/watt. Around 0.49/watt at 14 volts.

For sure. Truth is, and most people are in denial, that the average person can't tell the increase in sound quality between high end amplifiers. They hear a difference between the two sounds, and automatically assume the higher end(or more expensive if you will) amp sounds better, when the difference in music reproduction between the two amplifiers is cause by the settings between the two amps not be exactly the same.

I run my amplifiers full pass(ALL PASS) and always set my gains with a dmm and leave all crossing over duties to my ALPINE 9887. It would take a very fine set of ears to pick out the differences in reproduction between two different amplifiers in my car at this point.

Original Poster, What car is the setup going into. What other equipment are you looking at using?

You have a headunit already? Components already?
