How should I go about hard wiring my sirius tuner into my truck so that it turns on when I turn the car on?

i guess you could go off the head unit...or depending on what kinda truck it is, maybe the cigarette lighter???
Well I dont really want to splice into the head unit's power supply but I will do it if I have to.
I have once seen a device that was a relay that you could plug into one of the empty fuse location in the fuse box and then you could wire up whatever you wanted to it. Do you know what this is called?
You can tap into the cig. plug for power!
(Do not cut the plug that came w/ the unit!!)
Just wire in a 2nd. cig. plug!
make sure to use a cig. plug adapter back there. if you put the power wire for the sirius unit straight into any 12v source it will fry. they only take 5volts!!!

We do them all the time at the shop. Your best bet is to splice into the accessory wire at the radio or ignition, as well as ground. Either get a female adapter for the plug to solder it in, or solder to the plug itself.
i splice in at the radio and use a female adapter.

wat i do is splice the wire, plug the + into the audio fuse in the fuse box, and put the - under some screw behind the fuse box
