that's the point i was trying to make (i was kinda playing devil's advocate).^^

we all know that it's a "survival of the fittest" type of world. personally, i feel like Russia has a right to feel "threatened" by the missle situation, I just don't think they're ready to get into nuclear warfare with the U.S...it's not that serious.

lol, i'm glad someone finally brought the election up. there are definitely times where we need presidents like Bush/Mccain/etc...i just don't think now is the time. the Bush administration has stroked the "American Ego" long enough, it's time to relax and get things right on the home-front. Mccain's response to the Russia-Georgia situation let me know right then, that he's more than willing to flex the military muscles. i'm hoping Obama will get into office, call the president of Georgia, convince him to give up S.O., in return for some hardcore U.S. military technology. then have him call Russia and tell its president, "alright, we convinced them to give you the land you want...now we're going to put the missle defense system in Poland, and you chill out." after that, maybe he can help get me some health insurance, since my slack a$$ job can't offer me anything financially feasible.

OH! i almost forget...he should text the russian prez, and end it with smiley faces...b/tches love smiley faces.

hey hey hey, easy there fella. it was a joke...IN RESPONSE to a joke. if you'd prefer for me to post with your feelings in consideration, just ask me (contrary to popular belief...i do have a "softer" side).

by the way...you got me...everything isn't named after a bird, sh!t just sounded funny, so i typed it. and "shock and awe" does not sound like a cute bird...sounds like a COOL A$$ BIRD!

real talk though, i made this thread for a reason (hence the title). the situation is f/cked up, and i do hope things don't escalate, especially knowing that you have family there. i'd hate to see this turn into a war, and 2 months later you make a thread or even a sig saying that you lost someone important...you dig? you and your family do have my prayers (whether you believe it or not). when the world gets tough, there's not a lot of things you can do. trying to get deeper in my faith and comic relief tends to be the best medicine for me...and i'm sure randomguy can co-sign with me on that.

EDIT: i actually wiki-researched military operations...although they're not all named after birds...in ALMOST every war, there was atleast ONE operation named after an animal: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...ary_operations
