You are so right, dont get me wrong, there are alot of import tuners out here but for the most part you see more domestic cars, I guess I have to look to a location in the NC/VA area, the import scene up there is live, I got a friend in Richmond who complains about not having a close source from replacement motors.

The stuff in bold shows that YOU DON'T KNOW SH!T. Honda Tuning mags?! HAHAHAHHAHA!! You are a joke! I have been doing this for roughly 12 years and had one of the first swapped Hondas in Georgia! You think your pathetic ass can school me or Mr. Kidd?! BAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHA!!! We have FORGOTTEN more about Honda performance than you KNOW.

You wanna know about importing things? Talk to Rupertaker on here. That is someone else that has forgotten more about this business than you know. Want proof? Look for his past forsale threads, especially the real deal Civic Type R he was selling and Pur Pur. You have a lot to learn.

Go ahead and start that uber JDM engine import business. Let us know how it goes.

Why can't you let **** go? How petty can you be? This is an total different subject matter. Show people how simple-minded you are, I never in this thread or in my life said I know more than Mr. Kidd, that would really be stupid, his post put me on to alot of solutions to problems, and rupetaker, i know he has jdm stuff, and whats new, I really know him off ClubCivic, the only thing I said to Mr. Kidd is that I could find a cheaper B20 than Nad was selling, other than that Mr. KIDD IS THE MAN can I say it any clearer. I don't know you,so why you wishing failure on something that deals with my real life not no petty fourm. Was my post that serious? It was fun and games. You have been in the game 12 years and me 7 so I may can learn something from you because at a time you were a newjack so stop the BS and help a tuner trying to come up.

Way back when everyone around here including me was "newjack." None of us were even close to what goes on here now. Back when I decided to swap my CRX engine the only way you could put a B series engine in it was to weld Place Racing engine mounts in. Nothing was bolt in. You ever heard of East Coast Honda? Me, Trey and Greg started this chapter. It was one of the biggest clubs on the East Coast, and had almost a whole Super Street Mag devoted to us. The bottom line is, I've been around.

Put the other bullsh!t aside from the other thread and PMs. Here is what you are missing. We have been around longer and have dealt with more places and BS than you have and we know who's got what and what is good for the most part. No one knows everything. So you got an engine for dirt ass cheap that was awesome. Great. The point that Mr. Kidd is trying to make is while you may luck up once in a blue moon, you can't get a steak dinner for Taco Bell prices (my phrase damnit, not his). Say you get an engine from a supplier that is dirt ass cheap (like you say), you think that is going to be consistant? Absolutely not. For people that sell engines cheap, it is a crap shoot. If half of the engines they get are good they are happy. You want to take the chance of getting one of the "good ones?" The odds aren't in your favor. You are trying to jump into a field WAY too prematurely.

Yeah i've heard the horror stories about the "stone age" of Honda/Acura tuning and having to fab stuff and not having mounts because of this was something new. I know its hit or miss with some with some of these engine warehouses, but if I have done business with you in the past and like your product/service I will shop with you again, I am pretty sure that is the case with people like yourself,Mr. Kidd and others, I am sure if you guys go in there you can get a B20B for $650 just because you have a relationship with him, I need to get to that point.......

I'll post more on this when I have time, but I just wanted to ask.

Why do you really want to be in this business?

Do you honestly feel that there is a void that you think you can fill? Or you would just like to travel/meet people? Or you think you can make alot of money?

You know, its all about the love, everytime I drive my or anyone else's Honda/Acura I get some kind of rush or something, so for me it would not be all about the cash, but I would like to make some, who wouldn't. Also meeting people who you can help(or help you) is another thing thats cool about that business. But I dont see how guys like you do it, get your hands on hot JDM s@#t like is nothing.....

I also just got back from Jamaica....Mandeville, in fact. Right by the University....Actually, I could hear the girls giggling in the dorm rooms of the University from my bed room at the house I stayed at. It was pretty cool. I had eggs, aki and salt fish ever day for breakfast and sometimes some bread fruit, along with coffee with sweet milk. Then I had white rum for lunch with a beef patty (Dan had chicken). Then for diner I had either jerk pork or jerk chicken with more white rum. Then I would have coffee with rum cream for dessert.

I'm just saying that I just got back from Jamaica, too. The other thing I forgot to mention is that I didn't see a lot of Honda's...in Mandeville or otherwise. From what I saw most of them were Toyota or some other JDM or Russian car I have never heard of.

Oh and I also went to this event they call "wet n slide" in St. Elizabeth/Junction. Basically, it's gymkana but they call it a dexterity competition. It was very cool. They do it in this VERY small parking lot (like the size of a SMALL shopping center), maybe like 50 parking spots. An insurance nightmare. There were like 1500 spectators there and the drivers are amazing. They make me understand that you can ALMOST drift FWD....although it's still not really drifting.

I don't really care for Honda's, so thanks but no thanks. Maybe thats why I didn't notice all the Type R's hanging around. I know some folks who are poppin', too! They just drive wide body Starlets. So you pm me if you need me to connect you!

lol. For real, do you know anyone from the Montego Bay Motoring Club? I hung out with those guys some. Here is the wet n slide event. http://www.wheelsjamaica.com/wheels_...142.msg1144571

I also know someone who owns an import/export company right across from the yard. He rally races and is a white Jamaican. Here he is in his Evo V at Dover Raceway (which is being shut down, BTW). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ByqC...eature=related

Oh ok. Just checking. And in reality, it's not that hard if you have done your research and know people in the right places...just as with everything. The gys mentioned are all just elitists pricks who think they know it all....but who am I to judge?

    P.S.
Rupertaker aka Bryant aka White Devil is a JDM poser.
